  1. I just know this queen was living her best gay life to Confessions II last weekend. Do what M says - everybody get up and dance!
  2. Congratulations M! I'm glad she overperformed - the album really is fantastic. It's on repeat in this house!
  3. A CLASSIQUE! I feel this is one of those songs that literally everybody on the planet knows, even today's generation.
  4. While I'm not anticipating 503's most unwelcome return given I never had that issue since migrating to the current server (luckily!) - do whatever you have to do to keep this place running!
  5. The UK numbers thread... she's already outsold Madame X and Rebel Heart's first week numbers! (27,227 for MX and 37,245 for RH; current numbers have CII at 37,106 so far) MDNA's was 56,335. She won't beat that, but I think we're looking at 45 - 48k. She's getting her highest first week sales in 14 years here in the UK... and I know that's right!
  6. Not her outselling Madame X's first week sales already, and Rebel Heart's too! (Madame X sold 27,227 first week, and Rebel Heart 37,245) MDNA's was 56,335, but I doubt she'll beat that. I can see this album scoring 45-48k, personally. Either way, she's getting her highest first-week sales in 14 years here in the UK, and I know that's right!
  7. 1 Isaac into Push alone >
  8. Not M low-key slaying! A near-universally acclaimed (and genuinely great) album from fans, critics and the GP alike, obvious word of mouth, and genuine goodwill attached to her name, brand and image for the first time in God knows how long… I KNEW my b**** still had it! But that's what happens when you're THEE legend of pop. She deserves this.
  9. This. One minute, the Swifties say she's THEE strategic genius and nothing short of a mastermind who plans things out meticulously, but when it comes to anything that could paint Taylor in a potentially negative light, all that genius miraculously vanishes and she is but some wide-eyed, naive little girl of 36 who simply doesn't and couldn't know. Like, which one is it? They seriously can't expect anyone of average or above intelligence to believe that both Taylor and Travis didn't approve every single name on this guest list? It was literally their wedding day, not an award ceremony where they were battling it out with others for the main prize! To genuinely defend the Swifties though, it's largely the ones post-Folklore that are like this. The OG ones never were, at least to my recollection.
  10. Confessions II, and it's not close. It's a near-universal consensus that TLOAS is abysmal and the low of Taylor's career to date.
  11. I literally remember reading the news that he was born. I'm so old.
  12. I strongly doubt she'll get some general field noms and/or wins, but I can see her sweeping the dance categories.
  13. What. An. Album! Aside from a select few, I never liked MX that much, so this is a huge improvement from that. However, overall, I agree with the reviews that this is her best album since the original Confessions. I KNEW my b**** had another genuinely great album in her!
  14. I think it has some very high highs (the title track, Venus), but some very low lows (Jewels 'N Drugs, Dope). As a follow up to TFM and BTW, it's not good - but as a standalone, it's OK.
  15. I'm listening to IFSF again right now in preparation for the full album tomorrow. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there are few people in music that "get" spoken word quite like she does. Like, she's so good at it. Pop off, MUTHA.
  16. Literally what in the obvious PR puff piece is this? Like… out of all her albums to glaze retrospectively, you choose the weakest and worst one she ever made?
  17. One of my favourite lyrics from LG is from Speechless: "Some men, they follow me… but you'd choose death than company." It was the first lyric of hers I'd heard that made me think about the song instead of just being a stan of her music.
  18. Not a 50% drop. She should just retire at this point, for her own sake.
  19. We didn't need any more proof Katy was done commercially, yet she goes and gives us more anyway. As her recent TOTGA viral moment proves - she is literally fab for a throwback, and that's honestly no shade, as I don't think there's anything wrong with people continuing to discover her genuine classics. She really should just lean in to being a legacy act at this point as her days of being commercially successful with new music are over.
  20. Lana by default. Banks has proven time and again that she just can't take back what she gives out, no matter how much she pretends she can. She was shading Lana for MONTHS before she responded in the way she did, and Banks played victim over it. She's used to the back and forth drags of it all, but whenever someone actually matches her aggression, she turns into a crybaby.
  21. From the orange ghoul on his Truth Social: "Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. He failed badly on two very important subjects - IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well."
  22. Based solely on their most recent albums - yes, she is. But in regards to their careers in general, Taylor wins.
  23. Jesy has given countless interviews about the girls, therefore it's only fair that the others have their say too. It genuinely does seem like a number of accommodations were made for and to support Jesy over the years, and that there's only so long you can do that for before your own mental health begins to suffer (in addition to any existing issues to it there may be). I honestly have so much sympathy for everything Jesy has and is going through - but at some point you have to take accountability for how your actions (through no fault of your own re mental health) affect those around you.
