In the UK, this is now £712. When I checked this last night (as I genuinely thought this was a troll thread, no shade OP!), it was £948.

I honestly thought this was satire until I saw it was an actual, genuine quote. Nothing says "intimate" like marrying in front of 1,000 people in the most famous arena in the world, and announcing your marriage on a giant screen outside.

It's just hit me that the only negative thing I've ever heard about Dolly is in the wake of her passing - everyone in unanimous disappointment that she couldn't live forever. I think that says it all.

I'm genuinely devastated by Dolly's passing. I don't think I ever heard anyone say a single bad word about her, not even as conjecture. A reminder that not only did she create timeless music classics, but she created God knows how many jobs for the residents of her beloved hometown and others, and, through her Imagination Library and other endeavours, did more for children's education and literacy than arguably any Government official throughout her lifetime. She could genuinely say that she left her corner of the world in a much better place compared to when she first arrived. And that is a real legacy. We will always love you, Dolly. ❤️

This is so very sad. She was literally 3 years older than me; and was due to celebrate her 37th birthday this coming Friday! She went through so much; and while I don't believe in heaven/hell, an afterlife etc, I hope she is finally at peace. She deserves that. My sincere condolences to all affected - including on this thread.

It's her best album overall since the OG Confessions, but I think it ranks in the upper-middle part of her discography for me. It's certainly an improvement on all of her Interscope records though.

Perez is not a good person who went above and beyond to make other people's lives worse at every opportunity he got as a fully-grown adult (like endorsing a T-shirt online after Heath Ledger's passing that said "why wasn't it Britney who died?" or words to that effect, and posting an up skirt photo of an underage Miley). He is quite clearly going through a serious manic episode. He does not deserve to feel the way he may have made others feel (like they didn't as a result of him), and certainly doesn't deserve gleeful, dismissive comments to be made about his potential suicide. It is very easy to have compassion, however fleeting, for someone you don't like - even if you think they don't deserve it, or have enough heart, warmth and compassion in their own right to just about fill a pen lid. Multiple things can be true at once. Seriously, may he get the help he needs, and that the mental damage this will cause to his young children be as minimal as possible.

"Multiple things can be true at once"' does sound like a tacit admission that all isn't well with her. But whatever the reason for this break, may she come back stronger and healthier (mentally or physically) than ever.

One of M's most underrated classics! Even though Bedtime Stories was damage control due to Erotica; she was in her artistic bag in the '90s for sure. By far her most creative decade.

She won't beat that, but I think we're looking at 45 - 48k. She's getting her highest first week sales in 14 years here in the UK... and I know that's right!

Not her outselling Madame X's first week sales already, and Rebel Heart's too! (Madame X sold 27,227 first week, and Rebel Heart 37,245) MDNA's was 56,335, but I doubt she'll beat that. Not M low-key slaying! A near-universally acclaimed (and genuinely great) album from fans, critics and the GP alike, obvious word of mouth, and genuine goodwill attached to her name, brand and image for the first time in God knows how long… I KNEW my b**** still had it! But that's what happens when you're THEE legend of pop. She deserves this.

This. One minute, the Swifties say she's THEE strategic genius and nothing short of a mastermind who plans things out meticulously, but when it comes to anything that could paint Taylor in a potentially negative light, all that genius miraculously vanishes and she is but some wide-eyed, naive little girl of 36 who simply doesn't and couldn't know. Like, which one is it? They seriously can't expect anyone of average or above intelligence to believe that both Taylor and Travis didn't approve every single name on this guest list? It was literally their wedding day, not an award ceremony where they were battling it out with others for the main prize! To genuinely defend the Swifties though, it's largely the ones post-Folklore that are like this. The OG ones never were, at least to my recollection.
