If they release it as a separate EP, they get to double dip on vinyl sales. This is actually smart for them. There's no benefit to them having everything altogether. The album has pulled like 4M total streams and most songs are under 500 daily streams. Conventional tactics do not matter. They need cash grabs.

The 20th anniv edition of ITR has been out 2.5 weeks and just now had one (1) song cross 20k on Spotify. Things are dire.

I haven't spent much time with the standard album the last two months. I do enjoy it, but more so as an album rather than individual tracks. Even then... 

 

All that to say, while I'm excited for this I just don't have the same level of intrigue I used to. I hope these four tracks are a step in a new direction though and I will always support my duo legends. 

Instrumental tease of a new song......sounds like everything else they've done for the last 3 years. 

Standard actually grew on me a lot and I'm still spinning it, lowkey hated it the day it came out

Yeah...

I really like the new album and the past one, but the coolest part of their 2017-2020 era was how different every release was.

 

Love the girls, but this sound is now a little tired for me. It's time for a switch for their next album.

4.5 weeks now. Still just one past 20k, and with four songs yet to even reach 10k.

With Love From and everything after has just been career killing move after career killing move. Not even nostalgia bait can save them now.

I like their new sound and there were a lot of songs I liked on the two albums before Silver Deliverer. It's just that they apparently forgot to add any great melodies to the album? It doesn't always have to be upbeat and catchy? I'm a hardcore Slow Dance lover BUT the melodies on the new album were not... there at all?
