Melanie Martinez - 'ELYSIUM'
Finding her approach to tackling serious topics cringe is valid but "zero substance" feels a bit harsh when she is at least tackling those topics. It's more daring and substantial than an album of relationship songs (common occurrence in pop, not a dig at anyone). Unrelated to others' opinions, though, not every song about serious topics has to be deeply poetic to serve its purpose. Our society is very unintelligent and/or apathetic. Sometimes you have to meet the people where they're at to get points across. The 'cringe' lyrics can be purposeful in that regard; more digestible and prone to activating others especially in her target age demographics. Speaking generally and not saying this was her intent. I'm not that delusional; I just think the style has its place. That said, I am worried about Elysium lyrically because weak, happy-charged lyrics can't be so easily forgiven and are more likely to just come across as bland lol.

Aly & AJ - 'Live Silver'
Not trying to be a bully but it's definitely more than a "here" problem.

Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
I would be remiss as the OP to not update with this. hiding my negativity here

Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
They shouldn't feel that way. There are songs on Silver Deliverer already getting less than 100 global streams per day. https://kworb.net/spotify/artist/5wugb0kaq0J6nyQ5Xgd17i_songs.html

Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
Just listened. I really have to give up on them. This is the worst production they've ever had. I'm speechless.

- Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
Seemingly produced by Jonathan Wilson, the same guy as Silver Deliverer, per his Instagram.- Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
Oh, I certainly don't pity them for their self-inflicted wounds. If it bothers them enough to complain about it in song, they should change it up. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" and all that.- Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
You'd think they'd change it up considering there was a lyric on the last album acknowledging their downward trajectory and how music was no longer paying the bills. Alas.- Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
Live debut earlier this week. Out next month around Bonnaroo. For now, just a droplet and not explicitly attached to an upcoming album. Pre-save -> https://alyaj.os.fan/year-of-the-horse- Melanie Martinez - "DISNEY PRINCESS"
- Hilary Duff dedicates song on her new album to her Scientologist r*pe-apologist BFF
OP is obvious bait so I'm not sure why anyone is giving this genuine time in the replies. There are not one but two songs on the album that feature Hilary pleading to her immediate family members to give a **** about her. That is very evidently the family being discussed here, too. The bridge even mentions the concept of friend being "chosen family." If you think ******* Hilary Duff is going to take a stand on her best friend's rapist brother on her album, you truly have worms for brains. Edit: Oh these asterisks make me look mad lmao.- Aly & AJ - 'Silver Deliverer'
He produced all of With Love From and even tried to convince them to cut Sunchoke from it. Temper your expectations.- Aly & AJ - 'Silver Deliverer'
Day 1 streams so low (< 1k) that Spotify did not even bother to list them.- Aly & AJ - 'Silver Deliverer'
There's not a single positive comment about these two vinyl on here, Twitter, Reddit, or PopJustice, and I fear I do not have one of my own to offer, either. I truly do not know who they are doing any of this for anymore.- Aly & AJ - 'Silver Deliverer'
Yes. They updated the mockup after the actual product they received did not match the original mockup.- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
All four tracks are better produced than most of the standard album and are actually good. The Last Town will satisfy those who have been missing what makes A&A, A&A. Out of My Feelings is good with nice harmonies. The Deep End is INCREDIBLE. Drop the twang and just make experimental, alternative stuff like Deep End and Take Your Time pls. Strawberry Wine is a cute vocal moment and I can forgive the country since it's a cover.- ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel off the air over Charlie Kirk comments
I don't even think we're having free and fair midterms at this rate.- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
4.5 weeks now. Still just one past 20k, and with four songs yet to even reach 10k. With Love From and everything after has just been career killing move after career killing move. Not even nostalgia bait can save them now.- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
Instrumental tease of a new song......sounds like everything else they've done for the last 3 years.- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
Sept 19 ..............the contrast of all of this.............- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
Hopefully this is reassuring?- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
If they release it as a separate EP, they get to double dip on vinyl sales. This is actually smart for them. There's no benefit to them having everything altogether. The album has pulled like 4M total streams and most songs are under 500 daily streams. Conventional tactics do not matter. They need cash grabs. The 20th anniv edition of ITR has been out 2.5 weeks and just now had one (1) song cross 20k on Spotify. Things are dire.- Aly & AJ - 'More Silver'
More Silver but never gold!- Aly & AJ - 'Silver Deliverer'
It's a Silver Deliverer deluxe track alongside "Out of My Feelings," "The Deep End," and a cover of "Strawberry Wine" by Deana Carter. Comes out while they're on tour. - Aly & AJ - "Year of the Horse"
