Despite being the #1 album of 2022 it feels kind of forgotten, The Eras Tour was a cultural moment but it overshadowed the album 

 

Other (better) Taylor albums are already outstreaming it.

 

Tbh I don't think Midnights contributes much to her discography

No.  I listen to Midnight Rain, Dear Reader, Labyrinth, Maroon, Lavender Haze almost every 3 days or so.

Midnight Rain and LH are cute I agree, the others I don't remember how they sound 

I personally really like the album and think it aged rather well, but I get that it's not for everyone.

Hmm… this and rep are the albums that made me love her.. maybe I'm out of touch but I'm going with a big N.O. Midnights are my afternoons hellooooooo

Midnights is for those of us with a higher IQ, I think. It is not for everyone, and that is okay! 

I'm listening to it right now and it's flawless

I think retrospectively, it will be one of her most appreciated albums. Midnights to me always gave future classic. 

It didn't age particularly bad actually, but it didn't age well either. It's just... There.

It's aged pretty well actually. It will be one of the defining eras of the 2020s just like 1989 was one of the defining eras of the 2010s

It's a pop classic.

I mean it's better than lover

TTPD is so bad that it makes it sound like a masterpiece

This is the problem with the sheer quantity of music she's released the past few years. Nothing has a chance to stand out and gain cultural prominence, it's always onto the next billion songs she has ready to drop.

 

It doesn't help the album is in the bottom half of her discography. Overall very forgettable.
