It's the platonic idea of a Taylor Swift album. It sounds exactly what her music would be described as. It's pretty good as a full piece of work but it doesn't have the highs of an album like Folklore or 1989 that make them so memorable.

I don't think it aged badly but it always sounded forgettable to me, maybe that's why it didn't hold up.

it aged like fine wine to me. That's the good thing about low fi type of music production...it can maybe sound a little boring or not too punchy BUT it doesnt ever go out of style or sound dated. It's always going to sound current no matter what and timeless. If you argued that it sounds boring I wouldnt object cuz that a fair assessment but it is objectively 100% not dated sounding because the type of production through much of it makes that impossible to happen
