as she said in zane lowe, this album is literally made for herself only. i can see that. i'm glad we have another record but this will be the least fatm album that i'll come back and play sadly

For an album called "Everybody Scream" I imagined a lot more chaos, but it's good tho

didn't expect to love Buckle so much ☠️ but it could be my favorite lol

There are sounds that definitely harken back to her earliest days and vibes tbh.. like My Best Dress walked so half this album could run!

Kraken has a Free-esque essence

Boring as f.

This is such a polarising album. The first half is Florence by numbers and once you make past the ooh spooky with nonsense and get to old religion you have some of her best songs. Drink Deep is either going to be adored or abhorred, it's very out there and certainly was a creative choice, but I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off quite this well. Have it All is genuinely devastating and probably the most directly open she's ever been. The production, the layers, probably her heaviest song to date.

So many clever, creative ideas she explored thematically tbh! 

Apart from the Greats and SM, tracks 7-11 save this, unfortunately her weakest project to date

Went on a walk in a wooded area and the fall weather to enhance my first listen and I like it. However it's probably sitting closer to the bottom of her discography for me on first listen unfortunately.

 

Many of the songs feel a little melody-less and I felt like I was starting to predict the way the verses would go when a new song started. It'll probably grow on me a bit but I do feel that starting songs from lyrics is effecting her work the deeper into her career we get. There's lots of moments I really like but it's dragged down a bit.

 

I was also hoping for something with a little more tempo or bite like Just a Girl (which she did with Bowen) but it doesn't really have that lol.

Some of these tracks feel like poems turned into songs without much substance tbh.

I will NOT tolerate HAH getting named as her worst album, when June, Hunger, and TEOL alone are 10 times better than the bland production Joke AntonOff dared to give to most of Dance Fever
