Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'

Featured Replies

I'm intrigued by DD more than I like it. I think this one is gonna grow more and more tho. Seems very personal masked in myth?

That outro, though!

This album is so rich tbh

Love Florence, but this isn't demonic enough for me. If the rest of the album is like this I might just stick with Britney.

What happened to her cathartic choruses... :chick3:

we're blaming aaron dessner!:rogue:

This might be her weakest album, unfortunately... It doesn't mean that much cause her discography is absolutely stellar and she rarely misses but this project is lacking a lot of previous magic that she used to bless us with...

I'd say the album from her catalogue it is most similar to is High as Hope, but way less epic. Some good songs but nothing truly floored me :emofish:

You Can Have It All :clap3: We need the next album to be in the vein of this one

on first listen yeah Dance Fever's crown remains untouched and at the same time Antonoff truthers won once again so it's kinda a win-win for me

Is this anything like Ceremonials?

Oh baby we wish…

The lyrics are so complex; I can't wait to keep digging into this.

She doesn't do those huge choruses anymore, y'all.. I'm bummed by it too, but gotta accept that unfortunately. We're lucky we got a few moments of it

Is this all very safe territory for her, yes.  But it's different enough to stand out as its own era and entity within her discog, for sure. idk how you can listen to some of these songs and not be impressed!

A good moody album. Appropriate for the darker aspects of Halloween. Favorite album tracks are Witch Dance,  The Old Religion,  & Drink Deep.

The Old Religion, Drink Deep and You Can Have It All are truly spectacular tracks, she didn't have to go this hard :jonny4:

But yeah, while the whole album shines lyrics- and vocals-wise, it's definitely missing some big FTM choruses, although I can understand that she probably wanted to achieve something more "grounded". Still, a new fantastic entry on her discography :chick1:
