Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
I feel like this is the curse of Florence - to be making art so sensitive and intimate it requires too much energy for anyone to engage with it casually. One month After release its still the clear 2025 winner for me and I'm so sad it didn't get the flowers it deserved, but - true masterpieces always take time to be recognized as such

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
Sympathy Magic kinda one of her best songs ever along with OOTG tbh I'm scared if I had to do a ranking of her top 10 songs ever at least three would be from this album......

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
Now of I don't get the Old Religion on the setlist...

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
Hello, never been a fan before but I listened to Lux out of curiosity and I'm obsessed. It's so good and so ethereal and so transcendental it's got me in a chokehold. Of all the tracks the one I'm absolutely obsessed with is Divinize and I'm here to ask if anyone knows similar songs I made a playlist called "something divine" that features that one, The Old Religion by Florence and the Machine and Cloudbusting by Kate Bush. Just because I greatly enjoy the idea of creating my own religion of profane pagan women that make me feel like there's something better and greater than this life

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
Strongly suggest listening to Divinize by Rosalìa and immediately following it up with The Old Religion. A true religious experience

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
My ranking as of today: 1. One of the Greats 2. The Old Religion 3. Sympathy Magic 4. Buckle 5. Perfume and Milk 6. You can have it all 7. Music by Men 8. Everybody Scream 9. Kraken 10. Witch dance 11. Drink Deep 12. And Love However, Buckle is trying so hard to force itself into a number 1 spot. It's SO infectious I can't get it out of my head

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
I really disagree, I don't think there's a single song on this album that could be called formulaic And I think there is plenty of chaos, just not in an immediate form like maybe Ceremonials or Lungs offered. It's more intimate and introspective, not as accessible, but definitely chaotic imo.

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
The pitchfork score consistently slamming my favorite albums and proving me right over and over

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
Music by Men is Florence doing The National and good GOD am I here for it as a gigantic fan of both Never would've expected it to break me the way it's continuously doing!

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
It's been 36 hours I can safely say this is a no skips album 10/10 no notes

Florence + The Machine - 'Everybody Scream'
I still cannot believe The Old Religion is a song that she put out and I get to hear with my own ears. It feels so quintessential and somehow so new and moving... And in an album full of absolutely insane lyrics, the most insane for me is definitely "give me something I can crush, something I can kill". This song on its own already makes this an unforgettable, epic album
