ugh I love the sound and production but it ends so quickly, the length doesn't do it any favors

Been a Minute and Burnin Up could have done great with a label to back her up , UGHHH

Hmmm. I'm torn. 

 

The Good: it's actually a "good" track. I like that it sounds like it belongs on the same album as Been A Minute and My Love. Good A&R-ing and continuity for the sound/vibe she's going for. I also like that she's just going for it. It doesn't feel like they are waiting on anything. Charts or nah, she's serving a rollout.

 

The Not So Good: Not convinced it's a strong "single". It works as a good buzz track. Instant grat for the album or whatever. But it's hard to decipher what she's singing. Like the song is a vibe and can be bopped to, but in terms of memorability lyrically or even melodically, it doesn't tick that box for me.

 

All that said, I really applaud her for committing to the rollout. There's a clear vision, sound, look, and "world" for the era. If they can deliver a top 10 album (even a #10), I think it will be a job well done. 

 

I do think it's gonna have to be early 2026, though. I get the singles for the summer because her festival dates, but with no album announced now in late August (which is as good as September), there's little to no time before the big Q4 releases and then the Xmas freeze. Q1 2026 will be quieter, and she's gonna need a lengthy pre-order window. I say, announce soonish and drop in Jan.

 

 

It's a cute track; hoping we get the video sometime tomorrow. Leigh-Anne is really pushing out music since moving to Virgin Music... shame on Warner UK.

I hate how short it is, it's so good but it feels incomplete. It's over by the time I start to really get into it. I love the overall general direction of this album so far, though.

Girl barely above 2 minutes? It's not bad but it's hard to judge as it sounds…incomplete.

 

Hoping the Sigala collab is dropping soon. That sounded like a bop.

This is way too short indeed, but my god what a bop. She really has found her sound.

Upon hearing it in full, omg it's so good. It's her best song. This should've followed My Love. Sonically,  this is her. Its short but so perfect. Wow did she deliver.

sonically and length wise it's more like an interlude to me. i don't really get why it's a single but it sounds nice

man, if this was just longer with a bit more structure, this would be one of my faves from her

I'm actually kind of disappointed in this in a way, because it's so so good but it's just so… incomplete. It needed at least a bridge or another chorus, some sort of climax. It's still a great track, but it could have been even better. 

Was there a reason why this was released on a random Thursday? I guess she's just dropping songs to feed us fans now and not releasing another single yet?

also I love that she's doubling down on her sound with these instead of diverting and whitewashing like the girls who said they just didn't "get" what she was doing and thought it was too far from pop wished
