  • Anyone else tired of this aesthetic from her? The whole lingerie / dominatrix jerking and gyrating in a small room has been something she's been NON STOP doing since like 2009 with Celebration  maybe

She kinda sounds like Billie here. This teaser seems promising

  • Remember when she was the "English Lady of the Manor" writing children's books, teaching us lessons of The Kabbalah, and everyone was like, "Where is the rebellious woman who delivered to us non stop

Thank God this is a popular opinion because I was rolling my eyes watching that video.

It's crazy how she's been stuck in this character for so long when she's known for reinvention. Then coping with the art house spin.

It just makes her look out of touch, desperate to stay young. She can be young, I'm not saying "she should act her age", but it's so obvious she is stuck in this gyrating in a room act to prove she has sex appeal. It's like she herself is insecure about getting old. Everything post-Sticky and Sweet tour has been one long drawn out era if you ask me. No sequel will salvage her new endeavors if she keeps doing the same act over and over again.

Tbh it's always between eras that she's serving the same aesthetic and photoshoot style but once an era begins she gets more distant from it. Madame X had a proper visual and atmosphere, it was clearly her most adventurous era since Confessions and critics agreed on that, now was it a good album? It's up to personal opinion, but if you take Rebel Heart for example, it was nice visually and highly conceptual as well, for these both eras we have not seen any "try to be young" Madonna (***** I'm Madonna doesn't count). The only era that was like that was MDNA but even there she was just feeling herself a lot and wanted to show everybody that you can be as fit in your 50's as a 20's girl. It was clearly cringe at some parts, but at least she didn't go back at that aesthetic after that and I don't see why she would with the next era. Don't worry, she will surprise us like every time she embarks in a new era

Thank you for acknowledging Madame X, it's her best album since confessions and I'm gonna die on that hill 🤭

I honestly prefer Rebel Heart, but I totally applaud Madame X for pushing her artistry ahead, it's a very curious and bizarre album, I should give it a try again, but once again when it was released I found it refreshing she was trying something new

I'm ready. It's been way too long without a new Madonna album and the fact she's working with Stuart Price has me hyped.

I like RH too, but MX's highs are so good (God Control, Batuka, Mercy, I Rise, Faz Gostoso, EXTREME OCCIDENT, I Don't Search I Find)

I think I'm in the minority, but God Control is one of the worst songs on GrammyX :dancehall3:

you indeed are the minority, but could you elaborate on why?

I love the vibes. Looking forward to Confessions Pt 2 and what she has to offer!

Why is everyone talking like this is her big reinvention for her new era or album cover? :rip:

It's corny and the lyrics are mostly cringe. Love the video though.

I mean yeah... She still think it's provocative but everybody except this from her. If she really wanted to surprise people and the critics she would pull another I'm Breathless.

But yep, let's make another electro dance pop number, wearing dominatrix, quoting her own songs....

You think another I'm Breathless would be better than another Confessions? lmao

People will wake up to how genius Madame X really is apart from the dreadful ***** I'm Loca...

I go far to say it's her best since American Life

That's the problem.... "New work with William Orbit", "New album with Mirwais".... All that was all clickbait. Not even the best song she has done with them post 2005 could elevate to the lowest one she has done on ROL/Music/American Life.

So yeah imagining something as great as COADF, in 2025... I have all right to think that's  delulu ahha. But maybe Madonna can prove me wrong (even if the chances are very low)

And yeah... She has milked the europop/electro/EDM route so hard those past years, same for hip-hop/trap beats... For a queen of re invention, it's getting very old.

Girl...where? MDNA from 2012? 13 years ago? (14 once the new album is out)

And you can make dance records that sound nothing alike. Confessions and MDNA are good examples. Even Music...

I'm sure she's not just doing a Confessions part 2.

Why are we discussing Madame X in here?

:shakeno:

OT: Bring on the new single Hag!

I want a gym playlist, not a collection of Broadway standards. Give me an album full of Girl Gone Wild's ANYDAY.

Why even try having a conversation with that user? Lmao that's a sourpuss that will never be satisfied with what Madonna puts out. NEXT!

Since people are bringing up Madame X, yes it was completely overlooked but it was still a bold experimental as hell album that most artists I their 40s, let alone 60s would never dare attempt.  Let's not act like this isn't a woman that's no longer interested in expanding her horizons and taking in new sounds and influences.

That being said I am so damn ready for an album with tons of bangers no matter how much of a throwback the sound is.

Do you wanna see her as a nun? Lol. Do you see more 66 years old dressing like that? No. Only Madonna. And in a mysogenic society that demands womwn to dress her age, for me its cool seeing her as same aesthetic.

like I could care less about a "new look" or album aesthetic, or whatever.  Just give me good music.  Let her have blond hair, I could care less that she's gyrating in a room again.  If the music is good, then hell yea!

how can anyone hear those first seconds where you can't even understand what she says and read those absolutely stupid lyrics and think "this is good"? the only good redeeming thing about it, it's the instrumental and that's it. :deadbanana:

mx is literally the worst album she ever created and her worst era as a whole. AWFUL lead single, cliché theme, bad-uninspired lyrics, overuse of autotune, awful featurings, bad/cheap visuals, all over the place sonically.

The promotion wasn't any better. Bad live performances, interviews that did more harm than any good... she wasn't even physically well at that time. The tour was basic af... It was SO cursed :rip:
