On a semi-unrelated note, I wonder why she kind of gave up on reinventing after Confessions. Sure she's had "looks" for some of the subsequent eras, but she's never really committed to a proper persona ever since Confessions. I miss when she really leaned into the reinvention for each era.

 

 

The divorce from Guy allegedly took away a lot of her self esteem (according to other fans, idk much about their break up)

im definitely hoping she does colors this time around, COTDF is literally the opposite of dark/sultry, it's all color. I wish she'd stop shying away from COLOR.

Some fans are speculating on Garage House type of sound due to how she captioned the post and I really wasn't going to get my hopes up but knowing her dancers are getting together... 

yall want her to reinvent as what? she's finally doing a showgirl aging gracefully kind of thing after years of being attacked and villified for being too old for this and too old for that and now that she's doing it effortlessly well (i.e not weird pirate eye cap or ugly old maiden type shoes wink wink rebel heart) yall complain too 

 

it's true the last eras she did the same visual style but this time around it does feel fresh and interesting

yeah we are all tired of that aesthetic but we gave up years ago and we are just excited for new music/era

This has always been her thing since her first album. It would be weird and strange if she stopped. 

I'm also tired of the same style.. it's giving Paulina Rubio (who I also adore 🥰 but also needs to change her style)

Thank God this is a popular opinion because I was rolling my eyes watching that video.

 

It's crazy how she's been stuck in this character for so long when she's known for reinvention. Then coping with the art house spin.

 

It just makes her look out of touch, desperate to stay young. She can be young, I'm not saying "she should act her age", but it's so obvious she is stuck in this gyrating in a room act to prove she has sex appeal. It's like she herself is insecure about getting old. Everything post-Sticky and Sweet tour has been one long drawn out era if you ask me. No sequel will salvage her new endeavors if she keeps doing the same act over and over again.
