For the Americans on ATRL, a subway is like 8 giant Ford Expedition Trucks connected to each other which travel in their own dedicated carpool lane through cities.  They have dedicated stops and you can get on and off when you want.

I do support some good USA slander but you do know "the subway" in the Chappell song refers to the New York City one
