How do you feel about birthdays?

Featured Replies

Hey. It's me. It's my birthday today :fan: so you better congratulate me or i'll make sure to make more Gracie threads.

Anyway i'm honestly kinda bored right now, despite the rare day of the year, i am happy to eat cake & KFC, but something does feel a little amiss. I feel like once you hit a certain number birthdays just seem like a day with celebratory undertones rather than an actual Celebration (by Madonna).

What do you think? Tell me now. You have to.

I'm more likely to be depressed on my birthday

I love them.  It makes me happier knowing I'm one step closer to death.

Keep stanning Gracie Abrams, and it'll happen eventually

I throw a huge party and force everyone to attend. It's always a fun time. :heart2:

Yeah same… I usually just sleep all day, put my phone on do not disturb, and eat something piggy at night as my little reward for still somehow staying alive another year

:suburban:

I always make sure I'm travelling on my birthday so I usually have a great day. This year was Torremolinos pride and it was fantastic. Since it was my 30th my family and friends all flew over for the weekend.

Then I used it as an excuse to get the entire family together for a meal once I was home.

Happy Birthday! :gaycat:

I'm indifferent for the most part. I never actively plan anything, but when family or friends want to treat me to a day out, I go with the flow. All of the birthday texts and calls make me a bit anxious though.

I don't get people not loving their birthdays, I mean it's the ONE day in the year that is about you and so make the most of it, be happy, tell everybody it's your birthday, do what you like, the most important person in your life call you or text you

what I like the least tho is the day after my birthday, it's like ok the party's over :rip:

It makes me depressed now. After 25 it don't hit the same lol the milestones are scarier now.

Im thankful to be alive but every year I get older makes me feel like youth is slipping away and opportunities gone. Plus Looking old and being old scares me.

Happy birthday

Haven't celebrated in years

The more you grow older the magic of it fades, kind of like Christmas.

But it's always nice to see people showing you appreciation and thinking of you.

happy birthday love :date3:

well go me birthdays are always are hard hitting. if i spend them alone i feel unloved and unwanted if i spend them with friends i feel theres a hole in me that can't be filled (NO PUNS INTENDED :fish2:) because human connection is something i've struggled with since forever

it's also a little weird celebrating yourself when you grow in a socio culture and economical system that downgrades self value
