I think I know what is missing from Pop, I think it is the lack of trance music. Trance music is primed and ready for pop domination. Miss Pantheress is giving us some Drum & Bass but where is the Trance? 

 

We need it, it might save the world.

Like, record labels get to work. Do a full 180 for Mr Boone, Drag Miss Miley to the studio, or better yet call Miss Minogue for Neon Night 2. 

 

It is what we need. 

 

 

Unfortunately U.S. radio DJ's/ IHeart will not accept this.

Like, vocal trance? Emma Hewitt was giving a trance & house diva in the late 00s/early 10s. Be Your Sound is a trance staple, Carry You Away is a house masterpiece, her collabs with Dash Berlin and Allure are also noteworthy.

 

But as @Dante Silva said, it's not gonna happen - the genre itself is not profitable anymore me thinks.

Trance music just isn't as big as it was years ago. So it wouldn't make any sense for a trance pop girl.

Okay, so she's not Trance but she is very much known in Europe as the Queen of Dance Music and is close to MPG status across Europe.
 

In the U.S, If Becky Hill were ever to cross over from only sometimes bothering the Billboard Dance Chart to the actual mainstream Billboard Hot 100, then that would be a clear sign that the U.S. is ready to embrace the girl whom many consider to be the key mainstream Dance artist of our time.
 

Yet she has not (crossed over), and the U.S. largely remains unbothered.

 

However, if she did.. Becky is in prime position to act as a gateway drug that would lead to Dance being adopted by U.S Radio and going mainstream in the U.S.

 

if Becky were ever to cross over to the Billboard Hot 100, then she could very easily switch gears and release a Trance remix of whatever one of her future, current singles are, and later on follow it up with another single rooted very firmly in the Trance genre.

 

How is she even perceived in the U.S. market anyway? It's fair to assume that at least some of the success she has had in the U.S. Dance Chart has been fuelled by the gay market/ gay clubbers. So I assume she has some visibility amongst those who regularly go clubbing?

 

Though, admittedly studies have identified Gen Z as the first generation to not embrace nightclubs and urban night culture as much as preceding generations, so I guess even amongst gays her U.S. appeal is low key, despite her attracting over 13.5 million followers on Spotify.

 

It remains, that Becky could easily drop a Trance track at any moment and it would be deemed a natural fit for her and as the "Alpha" of the entire Dance genre in 2025/ 26, she would most likely be the delivery system via which the U.S. would receive a Trance track aiming for mainstream adoption by U.S. Radio and the wider U.S. market.

You already have trance "star" DJs to be fair: Ki/Ki, Marlon Hoffstadt, Indira Paganotto, etc.
