Why do people engage with artists they don't like . I couldn't imagine camping in a Bieber thread and keeping up with his every move... I just ignore him We must pray for the victims of Taylor Swift

Happy to see Aaron with her. He is stilll her best producer

Time to add YOYOK to the fixed setlist.

I'm still mad is not there. The Song literally has some reference to every part of her career (so to every era) so It's the perfect closer to a tour called the eras tour.

I really like karma, It's one of her best pop songs, and probably will be the summer single so probably this Is the reason for the choice, but it feels just "another song" and then the show ends, not something with a meaning.

What are y’all’s bottom 5 songs from her?

For me:

A Perfectly Good Fart

Welcome to the Trash

How You Get the Crabs

I Forgot This Song Existed

This Is Why We Can’t Win SOTY

Instant skips, all of them

Assuming you are limiting that to songs that are on her albums.

End Talent

Leave Leave Leave

A Perfectly Good Fart (me too)

Unlistenable

A Place In This Dump

Don't know if they're the absolute bottom, but they are certainly deserving of the spot imo. I feel bad for not having a Lover song in that top 5 though.

Instant skips, all of them

Songs that I skip like 80% of the time:

A Perfectly Good Heart

Innocent (I can enjoy it but it's about 2 minutes too long and after BTR I NEED to get to Haunted)

Superman

Wonderland (controversial, I know)

I Forgot That You Existed (I usually start the album at Cruel Summer)

Songs I skip often but I don't hate:

The Lucky One

This Love

This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

The Archer

It's Nice to Have a Friend

I also tend to skip the sentimental ones like The Best Day, Never Grow Up, Soon You'll Get Better, Ronan and marjorie because I have to be in the right mood for them otherwise they make me depressed :deadbanana4:

Do y'all tend to listen to Taylor on shuffle/curated playlists or do you tend to take on the albums as entire bodies of work? I usually listen to her albums as a whole (or close to the whole thing) personally

Just took a walk with her discography on shuffle. Sad, Beautiful, Tragic and I Almost Do came back to back and now I’m very sad and thinking about my ex and how it all ended because of me :rainy: i hate you Taylor.

OT: My bottom 5 is

Trashman

Skip Skip Skip

Ugly

This Is Why We Can’t Get Grammys

(Not) ME!

I have a playlist with all her albums (and some droplets) in order and the Live versions as well and I usually play it while at work just for background music.

Normally, I’ll just listen to albums in full though because that’s how I normally listen to all music!

Unlistenable better not be Untouchable because sis I thought you had taste :sosad:

You spilled here

and yeah I don’t listen to SYGB or Ronan or marjorie or even epiphany often because they’re definitely some of her most vulnerable songs, not emotionally vulnerable the way track 5’s are but rather they are way too intimate and personal to herself or the people they’re about etc.

Most people think it’s 1989 but the truth is that is the least Taylor Swift album of all her albums. Even Lover is more her than 89 :gaycat6:

For me I listen to her songs randomly most of the time and sit down for a proper order album listen rarely

I reckon that's an unpopular opinion, but I have never understood how people could enjoy this song. I find the melody so annoying idk why. :toofunny2:

Of course lover is. It's a very personal album. It's a controversial fact?.

I think 1989 Is way more personal than reputation.

There’s a reason why 1989 is a favorite for people outside of her fanbase. It barely feels like a Taylor album.

Untouchable is one of the best songs on Fearless TV

At least now y'all understand what it feels like when I see you hating on Sad Beautiful Tragic or The Moment I Knew (or Birch, I'm still salty from the discography rate).

For me Untouchable has a great buildup. That last minute of the song is amazing.  But I can see what you mean about the melody, especially since it’s just a cover :lakitu: but she transposed the melody so she’s still to blame nnn

Well I didn’t mean Lover being personal was controversial, but rather that 1989 isn’t. Most of the songs have vague, empty narratives (W2NY, This Love, Bad Blood, How You Get the Girl) or are literally just minor dreams she had that she made songs out of (I Wish You Would, All You Had to Do Was Stay.) Even the most emotionally vulnerable song, Clean, doesn’t seem to be anything specific. I appreciate that it’s general enough for us to relate to but when we love her for her detail oriented writing, going from Red to 1989 was a pretty big shift — not in genre, but in writing.

reputation onward re-injected personal details from her life into her pop music and I’m personally appreciative of that

In fact Out of the Woods seems to be the only song on 1989 inspired by something that actually happened to her :rip:

I tend to do full albums, to be honest.
