Taylor Swift

Featured Replies

This is how the race for most streamed artist of the year on Spotify is going, in case anybody is interested:

1. Taylor: 4.83B

2. Bad Bunny: 4.42B

3. The Weeknd: 4.07B

Big gap but obviously not enough if any of them releases a new album.

assuming she does like 2 tvs - 1 studio album we could be looking at:

2023: SN TV (will probably get like a full promo cycle with Enchanted as the ATW)

2024: 1989 TV (I presume she wont promote this as much given the standout track, Style, is already a smash and 1989 is like the biggest 2010s album)

2024-25: break bc of that film she has with Searchlight but will probably have some random TV droplets.

2026: TS11 probably (ha poprock era?)

2027: Reputation TV (probably give IDSB a full music video)

2028: Debut TV (her poorest performing era by far, will probably get a full rollout)

2029: The only big career move I can see her doing at this point is a return to country or a dance diva album (which would be the biggest country era of all time easily), realistically, she'll probably direct or star in more movies/shows.

If the Searchlight project succeeds her ass will probably dip for like the next 3-5 years and do a bit of theater and directing and will probably write for up and coming country or pop artists. The only genres Taylor hasn't tried that are going to be acceptable by the public (she will never be allowed to attempt an r&b crossover sadly) is Renaissance/Fever/COADF brand of dance pop and a SOUR/Let Go type of poprock era (which we all know is inevitable).

yeah I agree with you. I don't know exactly what is happening year by year but i think from here to 2027-2028 we're gonna get a new album plus all the re records + another tour not in the stadiums (like it was the idea after the rep tour with the lover fest).

After that she will take a long break from music but she will make other things in the entertainement business (tv shows, movies, a theater show or whatever). She knows it's the right decade to start to create your own legacy and se's already doingg it with the eras tour and the re recordings.

Then after 3-4-5 years (so already in the next decade) she will make an eventful return to music with a new global stadium tour.

girl, let’s get real, she wants every album to hit #1 :gaycat6:

She'd be the type of person to attempt to push Debut, SN, 1989 and Reputation TV to a 1M debut. She will get a #1 single from each of those rerecordings TRUST. Cold as You, Enchanted, New Romantics, I Did Something Bad/TIWYCF, all probably going to hit #1 when they release :jonny5:

Do we think 1989 TV will outperform Red TV, including debut week?

The five hit singles + her version of TIWYCF already gives it so much hype

For sure. I can see Shake it Off, Style and Blank Space TV tanking in streams bc lets face it she's never going to recreate the Max Martin magic of those singles but have How You Get the God, New Romantics (I PRAY this is going to be her lead single for the TV) and Clean carrying the streams of the TV.

Though I don't think TIWCF is 1989, its Reputation. Her giving us an Elvira produced TIWYCF as the lead single and have it hit #1 while the R1hanna version couldn't would be the biggest slap to Calvin's face :deadbanana4:

If her next album is going to be more softrock/rock in general inspired, I can see her promoting it like what Gaga did with Joanne: a Dive Bar tour of sorts, have her just go to some random ass bars or <1k capacity amphitheaters (she's too big to not be known every person in the U.S. will know her) and invite like 100 fans to an Intimate Night with Taylor type of thing. After going for a $1B global stadium tour, it would make sense for her to do a very small showcase of her album cuts.

I think she knows she's established her biggest female artist of all time (controversial i know) title after all these TVs its time she starts focusing on other sides of Hollywood, even if she flops to oblivion in the 2030s musically she's already established 25 years of nonstop dominance.

It’s a very high quality song. It’s definitely one of the best on Lover now.

When she releases Need for the Europe dates of the Eras tour then what? A smash I fear!

she already shoot the short movie "Enchanted Tv version" with Jin from BTS as the love interest.

Taylor is going to milk the re-recordings as much as she can, no way she will drop all at once, it doesn't even make sense to lose some easy billboard 200's #1s. But I wish she had release already one in the beginning of last year since she was mia till Midnights release in Oct 2022

Jin enlisted for military service on her birthday last year :coffee:

Speak Now TV - July 2023
1989 TV - Feb 2024
TS11 - November 2024
debut TV - Oct 2025
reputation TV - May 2026

she would be 36-37 by then

I think for Debut she should focus on Mary's song, it's the hidden gem of the album and it deserves the spotlight.

Why is TaylorNation trolling?

It is a slightly slowed version. Just a fake of the original

Am I tripping or does the way she says “drop everything” in the snippet sound different from the original? I’m clowning I’m sure.

I can’t believe she’s dragging these things out for so long. So much for wanting to own her work :coffee:

From a marketing and commercial perspective it's pretty easy to understand why she's doing it.

For speak now she will push a new vault song and a reinventation of a new track (enchanted).

The Red formula is perfect for speak now too (rumours are saying she shoot two music video).

For the pop albums so 1989 and rep i think She could push two new songs for both.

Honestly there is no reason to push again songs there already big hits and still very very streamed.

For love story was ok cause people were curious cause It was the first re released song at all and also It's her signature hit. Now for me makes no sense to release again an old track (at least is not reinvented like all too well).

Edited by vale9001

I don't mind that she's taking her time releasing them. I'd rather have them be events and not just thrown out there every few months. Anticipation is part of the fun. This is something that no one else has done successfully before and I'd rather savor it than have it all given to me quickly just to get it over with. :michael: Having them be commercial successes is also essential to her goal of sticking it to Scooter, Scott & co. She wants to own her work but she also wants to say "you're dumb as **** for ******* with me".

This is work spanning the course of 11 years, I think she can be given 3-5 years to give each one a moment. She's also a popstar with a thriving career to advance as well so she has to balance giving us the old with giving us the new.

I agree. My theory is she got her masters back which means billboard will count them as her original albums instead of new ones which would negate the need for each one to go #1

That makes no sense at all. Billboard counts it different because they are different albums, doesn't matter who owns them. And she is being very clear at every show about how the re-recordings are allowing her to regain the property of her old catalog.
