I wouldn't mind dream pop or pop in general for TS10.

 

As long as she doesn't regress to her reputation formula. 

She owes us one more big pop era after the failure that was Loser.

 

God literally had to step in and send down a world-halting virus to stop her from self-sabotaging anymore with that era.

 

We need a big sonic shift to some kind of classic rock with the songwriting quality of folklore/evermore, the hooks and commitment to the aesthetic of 1989, and a determination to create more instantly memorable productions.

OT: Tbh the album will be at least decent, no matter the direction she'll take with it. I'm so much more invested in tour and I'm really excited what she has prepared for us.

It also has the worst songs of her career on it. Literally half the album is unlistenable. A failure.

This  I want her creep closer to the Beatles and their records.

I also want her to win a SOTY and ROTY. I think we need a quality radio smash for that.

I don't ever want her to do a dance/house/edm/etc album, but I do want her to jump on a good DJ/producer's one off single. It kind of annoys me that her features are always with songs/artists that are inevitable flops (even if they're good).

 

Like can she just hop on a smash droplet for ONCE?!

Imagine wanting her to go back to POP after all the goodwill Folkmore gave her . Like, folklore finally made it cool to admit that you like Taylor Swift/ made it possible for all those artists to site her as an influence without being laughed at/ made her a critically acclaimed darling/ taken seriously as an artist and people want her to throw all of that away for commercial success, all because a bunch of atrl tasteless trolls convinced you that she's "local" or whatever . Hopefully she never touches POP again, she already did 3 entire albums in the genre. 

My guilty confession is that I am incredibly insecure and care a lot what people think of me, and by extension I guess, my music taste. Folklore was a great step in the right direction, and a revert to pop would be pathetic. I honestly want her to make music that literally (almost) nobody can deny is of a excellent quality. Classic Rock is the most highly acclaimed genre. The songs that are considered the best of all time are of that genre. I want her to join that list.

I’m fine with her not coming back to pop. We have 2 pop TVS coming, so it’s ok. I hope she makes a rock album tho.

The reason is wasn’t cool to like Taylor was midway through 1989 she was overexposed and lost her cool factor, then snakegate happened, and then because she chose AWFUL singles during the lover era that impacted her as well. Let’s not pretend that she wasn’t acclaimed, loved, respected, and cool from the single releases of Shake It off - Bad blood.

We still have 1989 and puta tv to go so y'all can have the pop music you crave from that. TS10 needs to stand out from the rest of her discography

Since it's folklore anniversary, I need to say how well tlgad aged 

 

I used to think it was filler but I've been listening to it a lot recently

I need TS10's lead single to be her first multi week #1 since "Look What You Made @Taylor fanboyDo" in the US. 

It's a crime all the other #1s were only 1 week #1s. I get it is getting increasingly difficult to get multi week #1s for female artists in their 30s without radio support but hopefully she can secure a big radio deal.

All of this. Like you worded what I have been trying to explain for ages now about what I want / need from TS10. 

the last great american dynasty has always been top 5 on folklore, I’m glad people are finally starting to appreciate its greatness. 

Going back to pop would quite literally ruin everything she has built since July 2020. I have no doubt that anything she puts out will be successful because swifties and the world are hungry but I would be very disappointed in her ngl. I'd love to see her maybe experiment with hyperpop in the future, but absolutely not here for 1989 3.0 after the 2019 nightmare. 

 

Anyways, listening to godlore right now and this is me smashing is still the best song 2 years later. Deserves +500M streams but people are tasteless.
