Miley Cyrus - 'Something Beautiful'

Featured Replies

As a fan, I'm very satisfied. This album definitely contains some of her best songs and she's elevated herself to new heights. Her interviews have been great and really insightful. And I love that we're getting a deluxe so we have even more to look forward to (and the film which I still haven't seen)! And another album probably next year! Queen never stops working and is a true artist.

I just hope she's proud of herself and is feeling good this week. Like someone said above me, she says she doesn't care about success, but it's obvious she does, and she straight up said she was trying for it this time around "for the last time" so it's gotta sting that this isn't being received very well.

Miley might be my favorite artist at the moment tbh. She's so versatile, her personality is to die for, she's always VERY authentic and none of that pretentious **** that other female popstars do, and

I just finished listening to her podcast interview (an excellent interview btw) and it surprised me to hear her talk about how Plastic Hearts didn't turn out exactly how she wanted it to. It doesn't seem to be one of her favourite albums of hers. Has she spoken about this before?

Touring just clearly isn't something that's gonna happen, but she should definitely do festivals as a happy medium.

I didn't connect all the way with this before, but it has gotten better with relistens, also the barrage of podcasts have been both fascinating and really made me appreciate a lot of this even more. Reborn really is the sleeper hit for me. She talked about how her brand is going all-in on one of the podcasts, and it really is where she's at her best. Something Beautiful and Reborn are my faves bc they are extreme. I'm really interested in this next album that she allegedly already has a full tracklist for, I hope she releases it soon. Tbh if she wants to release as soon as she makes it she should just do it, I think Miley can always get a hit when the song connects, a flop doesn't destroy her, I hope she uses that to be as creative as possible.

I'm confused is her movie only for one night in Los Angeles? I'm disappointed. I was thinking it would be there for a month.

The movie is shown worlwide in cinemas for one night only.

Golden Burning Sun and Pretend You're God must be like my fave Miley songs of all time. I've always been just a casual listener and never really connected with her music. In fact, nothing she's ever released has made me gone back to listen to it over and over again... but these two songs, oh god. They are on another level. I can't keep them out of my head. The lyrics are everything.

Such a bad move! I can't watch it that day im so busy wow Miley

Wonder when they're planning on dropping the deluxe. I hope there's another upbeat club banger on it

Deserved the #4 for that catastrophic rollout & barely releasing any signed copies. One day her team will learn.

it seemed like her issue with it was that she didn't like the vocal production on it and that she'd like to remaster it someday, she didn't really say much about the songs themselves so it's hard to say what she thinks of the actual music

Like they kinda do the bare minimum every rollout ddd. The alternate CD covers for Plastic Hearts were just the same picture but different colors (I bought them all to boost the sales still ddd). :rip: Her marketing team kinda sucks. The amount of jaw dropping outfits she wore for the film, we could've gotten some stunning alternate cover vinyl and CDs. :jonny:

So much wasted potential. I would've bought every single variant. Imagine if we had one with THIS as the cover?

This era is a catastrophe.. really

And the sad thing is that the project as it self is pretty good but everything around it just a hot mess

MOTHER :jonny: we needed the eternal sunshine rollout. We also need Something Beautiful (slightly deluxe and also live)

Just gave this my first listen and I unfortunately do not like any of these songs very much :katie: I loved ESV and PH so much and I appreciate the artistry here but the music isn't striking me in a memorable way and the lyrics feel jumbled together.

Also Brittany Howard sounds so much like RuPaul.

I'm not even a big Miley fan but track 8 to the end is pop perfection.

Why was Golden Burning Sun not the lead single? :celestial5:

Ok Golden Burning Sun is on REPEAT :jonnycat:

PERIOD. Also I have been SPINNING End of the World. That should have been the first taste of the album with a better video. Ugh the potential!

@wish Miley needed to be releasing these albums in the 90s :jonny5: The GP nowadays has terrible taste.

She said she will be releasing it to streaming after the cinema premiere

Seems like someone at Pitchf*rk accidently swapped Miley´s and Addison´s scores :dancehall:

So Miley has never been a favorite of mine but I have always found something to love from almost every era. With this new album being so monumental for me on a personal level I decided to make a little ranking to see how my old favorites would stack up against it and well...

1. Walk Of Fame

2. Reborn

3. Every Girl You've Ever Loved

4. End Of The World

5. Slide Away

6. Who Owns My Heart

7. Golden G String

8. Malibu

9. Fly On The Wall

10. Island

It albsolutely demolishes all of my old favorites.

wasn't so big on this album but this track saved the album for me :jonny5:  I love it

We have an album with 2 singles titled End of the World and More to Lose :rip: She knew what she was doing.

I still love the album and don't think she's seen the last of commercial success.
