Gotta go with Blackout for everything.

However, Rihanna looked stunning and her filter was revolutionary at the time. OGITW had such a sickening music video, too.

I'm just gonna speak on quality and quality only; Blackout is mile above - they're not even on the same tier for a fair comparison.

Loud would win if it didn't have auditory abominations Raining Men and Cheers  :suburban:

I'm a Rih stan so obviously biased, but they're pretty much equal to me but would probably give the edge to Blackout overall.

The red hair was such a moment though and the Loud visuals were definitely one for the books, so Rih clears on that.

Had to add in the features from that era for a fair matchup :eli:

S&M vs Gimme More

What's My Name vs  Piece of Me

Cheers v Radar

Fading vs Break the Ice

Only Girl vs Heaven On Earth

California King Bed vs Get Naked

Man Down vs Freakshow

Raining Men vs Toy Soldier

Complicated vs Hot as Ice

Skin vs Ooh Ooh Baby

LTWYL (Pt. II) vs Perfect Lover

Who's That Chick vs Why Should I Be Sad

Fly vs Get Back

All Of the Lights vs Everybody

I like the Loud aesthetic and music videos more, but in terms of music/singles it's Blackout for me.

Single choices though they're about the same, I think they both picked the best the albums had to offer.

never got the blackout hype beyond the singles

loud for album

blackout for singles

loud for aesthetics. blackouts aesthetics are kinda ugly to me :sorry:

I LOVE Loud, it's Rihanna's best album but honestly Blackout devours it.

I prefer the depth of the sound of Blackout. It just sounds both richer and fuller. Based on my love for electronic dance music, though, it only makes sense that I'd prefer Blackout, overall. I do recall, especially, loving both "Man Down" and "Skin," though. Loud is still a great project and it absolutely was refreshing after the promotional campaign of Rated R. I do prefer the aesthetic of Loud; that does ultimately depend on my mood, however.
