Surprised they went for something this pop when nothing of the sort sticks in the current music climate charts-wise. Then again, people made it very clear they wanted more pop from her during the Scarlet era - me included.

girl why? if anything, pop is much more marketable than hip hop at the moment. Half of the Billboard top 10 is the K-pop Demon Hunters

Demon Hunters is a fluke in the sense that for a long time now upbeat and gay-friendly dance focused singles haven't  really had a wide audience. I guess Brat helped make people realize they want that kind of sound and has maybe made it easier compared to the rest of the 20s.

i know we're supposed to hate jack antonoff but this song is great, not to most innovative sound but sometimes less is more and sticking to what works can result in a very catchy pop song!

 

my only criticism is that the song is way too short. if she was going full-on 80s with the sound she should've made the song 4:30 long

I hope she gives us more KMM and Say So's on Vie I know its derivative Top 40 but she's so goood and her vocalist side is so refreshing she sounds a bit like a raspier Selena Gomez, love Doja! Manifesting the Vie era as a smash!!! Bring this to #1!
