I think a lot of us are just desperate for some good pop music. I more so want it out now so I can enjoy it. Not for success reasons. 

 

However I do think that once the lead is released we will most likely get the album 8-10 weeks after. Doja usually doesn't wait a long time between lead single release and album release.

Babes… bad news I fear?… when artists backed by major labels release songs, then those said songs are registered anywhere between 3 to 12 months prior to release. However, when they're preparing for an album campaign labels usually start registering songs in bulks. That usually means that the song could be only a month or two away, but again that also doesn't seem to be the case since only jealous type was registered (I checked for acts of service and couldn't find it). Either way, it's gonna be months. And if not months, then it means messy rollout…

Also isn't it kinda off that she's got aesthetic curation, photo shoots, and commercials ready and going if she's clearly still recording or mixing the songs???

Based on what you say, it looks like Cards will be the first single then. It was registered weeks ago and apparently the snippet is already getting copyrighted on YouTube. 

 

I'm not expecting the album out until August at the earliest atp (which is fine IMO, especially if they have her physicals right this time) but I absolutely need Jealous Type as a single before then, it's tewwww good to not smash during the peak summer months.

I think they should release "Jealous Type" first, cause we desperately need a summer banger. Then "Cards" later on. "Scarlet" had only 1 single pre-album release. I was not following her releases so closely back then, but all albums since "Hot Pink" felt like they were dropping suddenly without a major promo. I guess other tracks not being registered yet should not be an issue and doesn't mean the long wait.

jack being on this and cards is a kii and I can only assume he did more album tracks atp but either way, not only did doja tell him to wake his ass up but the easy bait this will be for the grammys... i see the vision

I like all of her songs with y2k. They aren't her best but they are good. 

 

I think its cool she is working with more big producers.

can this just leak already, I'll be over it by the time it's released if I keep listening to the snippet

im not mad at the jack production, we're forgetting his capability… he produced some of the best and some of the worst music this/last decade though

Yeah he is very hit or miss. But I can't lie I got a little nervous when I just looked at his discography.

 

But I trust Doja so who knows maybe she will bring out his best. 

We already have a 1/3 of the song. I really don't get what the fuss is about (and Jack won AGAIN since the reaction was overwhelmingly positive for this one)
