Charli xcx - "Rock Music"
I like it, but it's not mindblowing. And it's definitely too short. Putting out songs shorter than 2 min should be a crime. I somehow can't resist the feeling that the riff reminds me Hole mixed with some Avril Lavigne and "Just a Girl" by No Doubt.

RAYE - 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.'
This is not just an album. It's an experience.

RAYE - "Nightingale Lane"
I would love this version to be released on streamings. She has admitted that during the tour shows that she cluttered too many words in some songs and made it difficult to sing live.

RAYE - 'THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.'
I was lucky to see the first show in Lodz, Poland and omg... that was spectacular. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Here is my short review/first impression: Intro: Girl Under the Grey Cloud. - I usually don't appreciate intros, but this one creates a vibe and I can imagine it would serve as a great opening for the album. Raye is a great storyteller. I Will Overcome. - Very cinematic with great vocals, but honestly I would expect it to be part of the intro, not a separate song WHERE'S MY HUSBAND! - a bit different arrangement than during her festival shows, felt more even more upbeat Skin & Bone. - It has a vibe of jazz/soul songs from the 1960s Beware the South London Lover Boy. - same as above, with a bit comedic elements The Winter Woman. - it sounds like a follow-up to Escapism, beautiful violin part Nightingale Lane. - ballad, not my favourite I Know You're Hurting. - very beautiful and emotional song, she served extraordinary vocals on that Click Clack Symphony. - this will be probably the next single from the album, really cool song, it would fit My 21st Century Symphony; funny how the song it about the sound made by heels, while she's usually not wearing them Joy. (with AMMA & Absolutely) - this sounds like a funk classic, very optimistic, probably not my favorite, but it could balance the album well; I also wonder if this would be a track feat. someone, but not necessarily her sisters She has addressed this yesterday in Prague, and said that "It's an award from the Grammys, but technically not a Grammy... yet. It's a special-merit award." I think it could be anyone she collaborated with as a songwriter before. If the album is being split into "4 seasons", then probably one part of it would be more electronic, just as a rave section on the tour. She blends genres so well.

Doja Cat - "Jealous Type"
Still no news????

Doja Cat - "Jealous Type"
I think they should release "Jealous Type" first, cause we desperately need a summer banger. Then "Cards" later on. "Scarlet" had only 1 single pre-album release. I was not following her releases so closely back then, but all albums since "Hot Pink" felt like they were dropping suddenly without a major promo. I guess other tracks not being registered yet should not be an issue and doesn't mean the long wait.

BANKS - 'Off with Her Head (Deluxe)'
Would be cool to get at least full "Guillotine"... As for deluxe version there should be at least 3-4 new songs on top of acoustic versions. I'm really upset with only 1 new song.

BANKS - 'Off With Her Head'
I like the album overall. It feels more warm than the previous ones. You can clearly tell she is in a better place personally. However, it's terribly short. It's the shortest album to date and WTF with "Guillotine"? I know it serves as an album opener, but it should be longer. It builds vibe until it's cut, which leaves you feeling like you were cut on a guillotine yourself. I thinks 60 more seconds wouldn't destroy the vibe, still would feel short, but tracks under 2 min is a crime. This album feels better produced than "Serpentina" which has some of my favourite songs of Banks, but was flat in mix-mastering and also felt inconsistent. "Off With Her Head" sounds better in that matter, but I'm still not sure if her viral tik-tok attempts ("Delulu") blend well with tracks cut from previous albums (eg. "Best Friend"). I think Banks deserve her "Brat" moment, or at least "Alibi" moment (especially that her sounds are similar to Sevdaliza). For that I think some more upbeat songs are missing. Also, I'm a bit disappointed that there is no Dolby Atmos on Apple Music and on Spotify they haven't uploaded any canvasses to the new songs.

BANKS f/ Lil Silva - "Love Is Unkind"
It's totally a bop. This will definitely be on my 2025 Spotify Wrapped.
-
MØ f/ Biig Piig - "SWEET"
Sounds very promising. Can't wait.

BANKS f/ Doechii - "I Hate Your Ex Girlfriend"
Check the credits for her feature with Katy Perry.

BANKS f/ Doechii - "I Hate Your Ex Girlfriend"
Also she's working with SOHN again, so this era looks very promising.

BANKS - "Delulu"
This song will be released, most probably as a single promoting the game release which is scheduled for October 17th, 2024, so I guess around that time.

BANKS - "Delulu"
She was independent for a while and it didn't serve her. Producing an album requires resources. Plus, Serpentina's rollout was messy, and Banks generally doesn't know how to do social media. There's nothing wrong with not being able to, but if she wants to use it as a marketing channel, someone needs to embrace it better. It looks like the delay in the release of the single has something to do with talks with TaP, so if true, that's great news. They are doing a fantastic job for Mabel. You can expect better marketing and a tour that is not limited to just a few cities. There were no festivals at all during the Serpentina Tour - unless events are excluded from the management deal, but I doubt it.

BANKS - "Delulu"
How can you judge the whole song after 2 very short snippets? I'm also not a big fan of a Delulu part, but I think the song has a potential.

JoJo Siwa - 'Guilty Pleasure'
Damn... I feel ashamed to admit, but actually Balance Baby doesn't sound bad. It's really well produced and it'a a bop. Just the personality and image of JoJo is a cringe. The songs are fully written by some other artists, and there is no shame with that, but claiming she wrote them is. And I have doubts regarding the amount of auto-tune used. Anyway, 2 or 3 songs will definitely land on my playlists this week.

BANKS - "Delulu"
I think she's in Europe right now - Paris maybe? I wonder, what she's up to. Maybe recording something new with producers based in Europe? Anyway, I still have hopes for "Delulu" being a good song, but lyrically from the snippet it's far from the level of her first 3 albums. Edit: I'm probably delulu and she goes there only for the fashion show.

BANKS starts teasing new era
Does anyone know if Delulu she posted on her social media is an actual single?

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
I don't want to defend Dr. Luke, nor do I want to diminish Kesha's experience, but we as a general public don't really know what happened. There is no evidence that Dr. Luke is anything more than a simple *******. However, what can certainly be criticized is his label's celebrities very poor behavior, chaotic album launches, leaked singles and poor choices about artistic directions - see Kim Petras. What I imagine is they treat their stars as depicted in "The Idol". For now, I predict Katy's new single to be more like a flop.

BANKS starts teasing new era
Not sure how big team she currently has being an independent artist, but she could definitely use some marketing people (like myself haha) to help her with the roll-out. Launch of Serpentina was super messy.

Tove Lo & SG Lewis - 'HEAT'
I enjoy the EP and I treat it as an extension to Dirt Femme, that I really like - it's my second favorite album after Lady Wood. Tove also knows her audience and releasing such video during pride month is a perfect marketing strategy for her. Also the EP being more clubby-vibe is in line with the current rave trends (eg. Brat from Charli xcx, Clubshy releases from Shygirl, etc., even Aurora's new album being more club-oriented). However, I really hope she would explore different themes lyrically for the next releases, cause simply if you push around same topics for too long it might get boring.

BANKS starts teasing new era
As the story is gonna disappear in the next hour, for those who will see the link later: some fans were waiting for Banks after her show with the National Symphony Orchestra and she played them some unreleased songs.
