According to Sam, this is something they made for fun that he was just testing out. Contrary to what the Tove fanpages are saying, it's not slated for an "expanded" version of Heat EP.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Do not tease something that you have zero intentions for ever releasing. They all very self aware that we want all of their tracks together out. What was the point of this? Release it officially

I mean, I'm sure they will eventually release it if the Tove fans don't leak it. That's what happened with Heat EP, the Tove fans leaked a few of the songs, and those songs got scrapped as a result.

 

When I was messaging Sam, he did say that he "can't confirm nor deny" that he was involved in Tove's new album. Obviously, he is. I would assume this is going to be on Tove's album.

All the more reason why it's never a good idea to tease things to early before release and or if one has no intention of actually releasing it

I get what you mean, but generally it's leaks from Tove's side. None of Sam's stuff has leaked (knock on wood). But I know Sam also likes seeing the crowd reaction for new material, and then he'll rework things from there. Either way, whether he's teasing stuff early or not, patience is key and it's quite nasty to spread leaks around. As a fan, I always keep leaks I come across to myself, and report to Sam when it happens.

again i hope that he actually releases the stuff that he teases. not a fan of leaks but to create and never put out the work to us fans sometimes justifies leaks. understood though. hope we get more new music from him soon and that he collaborates with big artists too. also tell him to work with tinashe!!

YESSS! I would love to see an SG x Tinashe track. And as for the leaks, I think generally his goal is to release these tracks. I don't think he'd play something for a live crowd reaction if he has no intention of releasing. But I have a list half a mile long of people I want him to collab with. 😂🤣
