She's one of the best new artists out right now and I hate how no one is catching up on her art and music. This industry is so corrupt. She should be #1 everywhere.

For me, a big part of it is the subversion of expectations. I would never expect someone of her background (TikTok stardom unrelated to musicianship) to create really solid pop music on this level. 

she has amazing taste in music herself so it makes sense

Because she proved herself to be a good artist Britney fans always do their best

I think it's because we didn't expect a lot out of it, so it's quite refreshing to have an act like this

idk tbh I really enjoy her stuff! I even own one of her signed CDs she did forever ago x

She's a killer combo of early innocent Britney looks-wise and unreleased pre-fame Lana sound-wise. It's impossible to not stan I fear

Addison Rae is not really a good artist to me. This is a reheated nachos situation. 
 

People miss early Lana and they're getting it with someone who actually can dance/is very comfortable with their body and can deliver more dimensions visually because of that. 
 

It's one of the reasons Tate McRae is lasting. She's reheating Britney's nachos but because she genuinely is a gifted dancer, it stands out more and really gives them staying power vs the 100 other people who have tried and failed.

 

 

edit: I also want to toss in Addison has Charli XCX in her corner. So yeah when you get one of the best for music writing and producing across multiple genres, it better eat.

I've been really surprised tbh. Nothing she's released before this era really grabbed me but this sort of slightly alt pop she's been doing has been really good. 

Because no one was going to take "the girl from TikTok" seriously if she came out with conventional songs, so she's going for something more interesting 

Because the music is good, it is really that simple
