As far as Mexican songs go it's along with most of Selena's hits probably the biggest songs that are also well known outside of Mexico/US. Just look at the amount of Latin American artists from all the different nations south of the border that cite her as a major influence, you don't see that often from most the other major Mexican artists unless it's other Mexican artists. 
 

The song in particular is constantly covered and yes that bell and organ riff is instantly recognizable along with the hook. MAJOR classic
