They are being supported by a major studio, and there isn't a lot of competition out there for girl group talent, so there are fewer compromises being made during the casting phase. 

 

Like take that nugu ifeye group that recently showed up.  Why are they so pretty?  Because there are no longer dozens and dozens of girl groups debuting every year -- I don't know if we've even reached a dozen serious group debuts each of the past two years.  It's like, how was tripleS able to pull off a 24 member group?  Because they probably had enough options to do a 48 member group if they really wanted that.
