Well the sub-unit is coming in the next few weeks it seems. They already started hinting it's coming soon.

I'm expecting/hoping for JOY debut in Q3 or Q4 this year.

 

I would be shocked if we get a group comeback any time soon. The most likely next project after the unit comeback and hopefully JOY solo, would be IRENE solo comeback in my opinion, since she smashed in physical sales and SM is greedy, but we'll see.

I wasn't expecting Yeri to end her contract. Wendy doesn't come as a surprise since I feel like it's always been up in the air every year between her and Joy (at least over the last couple of years). Either way, happy for my girls!

SM destroyed TVXQ, who were the biggest Korean group of all-time at that point, just because they were scared that one of the artists would become stronger than the label. It's why I no longer believe in album equivalents. HYBE is literally selling their albums for a fourth of the cost as an SM album in my country but we pretend each album sale is equal.

It's not a secret that TWICE were only big for four years. Right now in album equivalents it's TWICE > BP > IVE > NJ > Aespa but at the end of the year it'll be BP > IVE > Twice > Aespa > NJ and the year after will be > Aespa > IVE > BP > NJ > TWICE.

Girl even worse this is in Japan where they're supposed to be the top act there with Sakura straight out of the 48 system active for over a decade before debuting in lesser but they still can't move $2 albums off the shelves…
