A. we/they dont need your western validation

B Kpop was thriving even when it wasnt global :rip: U know that every country has its own local artists and not only listen to bey, Bruno mars etc right?

C. Why are u acting like this is a kpop phenomenon only?

TLC, Jojo, kesha, Britney, Jlo, Mariah carrey,  pretty much all the Disney and Nickelodeon child stars, P Diddy etc

The kpop industry literally has a government funded international push because the industry would die without international interest.

There is nothing more frivolous than the public's love. One day they love u the next they forget u or even worse they hate you

I bet a lot of people would be very happy if NJZ would be hated in real life, the same way they are targeted daily here, on x or reddit

but it's not happening

they got an amazing fandom cleanse because of this whole HYBE mess, they will be good :clap3:not to say international fans will love them for fighting with the system instead of writing an apology for „having an attitude"

wasn't kpop made to spread the korean culture around the globe in the first place? :clown:

@Pluto6 did you like the Unit songs?

Yes, if I were to rank them:

Cinema > Escape > Burnin Tires > Truman

But overall the project is fine, but not better than the solo songs that they are apparently replacing with these songs in the setlist?? :weeps:

I like them more than the solo songs, being honest :dancehall:

They did that with an unpromoted mixtape with only 4 songs that was announced randomly just 13 days before release as their 7th anniversary gift for their fans :clap3:

I wouldn't be surprised If It ended up on Top 10 biggest debuts by a group by the end of the year :rip:

Yeah :rip:

I think they are also going to have the top 2 biggest group album debuts on lock this year with their upcoming 2 albums, unless BTS or BP are releasing albums this year

Don't worry, they will perform this mixtape in stadiums that aespa can only wish to perform in! :sabrina:

I hope those underage girls get their money back when they realize they have to sit through this "music." Thank God those enlistments are coming up!

Well you just pointed out how easier it is for ggs to chart domestically compared to bgs, The fact that almost nugu girl groups like Oh My Girl have multiple #1's in Korea while very popular and established boy groups are struggling to chart is a proof of that.

And Ghost9 or whatever are not selling out or performing at no damn arenas :rip: You guys really need to understand the difference between theaters, arenas and stadiums :rip:

Oh My Girl being "almost nugu" when "Nonstop" alone has spent more weeks on global charts than your faves' careers. Okay.

Thats only because GG are making better music duh

the privilege is of BG who make noise and still make more money because they sell albums and feel stadiums with horny fangirls

Boy groups are about selling an image and parasocial relationship. The music doesn't matter. You're selling the idea of dating a random celebrity to vulnerable children as opposed to trying to craft the best music that you can. The funny thing is, it doesn't leave a legacy. If you can't make music that actually affects the public's lives, what is the point of being a musician?

This was true in the 1990s, which is why K-pop was launched. It is no longer true today. Sometimes it feels like you guys read facts, don't understand them and then try to use them in inappropriate places without realizing what you're implying.

Apparently BTS will be releasing one, but Blackpink I'm not sure. Their future is always unknown.

Is this good? Whiplash debuted with 32,839 unique listeners in its first hour and Supernova's first day streams were 754,200

Since you wanted to be messy earlier, let me remind you that SKZ outdebuted aespa's Whiplash album with an unpromoted MIXTAPE with also less songs :ahh:

Actually, it also outdebuted every aespa project apart from Armageddon, since Armegeddon is a studio album

Even if SKZ were to enlist in a few years, aespa still wont be able to surpass SKZ in either sales, streams and tour gross or even followers :sabrina:
