This is probably me being a delulu Britney stan but it really really was giving me this. GD is a huge Michael Jackson fan so part of me feels like it might have been intentional.

I wish SM had put out individual videos of the members or given them pre-debut activities, the way they have done with past groups. They didn't showcase the group enough, so far.

I know aespa's going to be on his show, as well as that GD participated in a movie about kpop that Anderson Paak made but failed to sell. It's probably just one of those moments where the stars aligned for all of them to be involved. GD doesn't collab for strategic reasons so I'm sure when the aespa episode drops we'll find out he has a very deep respect for Karina beyond just using her image as an it girl.

Everyone is free to their opinions of course, but I think we should give grace to the BP girls to figure out who they are as artists and experiment, even if it's not to our personal liking. yeah this. like, I wont be convincing anyone here to love their solo outputs like at all but I think we should give them props for doing everything their own way for the first time and figuring everything out - AND most of all actually getting albums released on time with very very strict deadline from YG

 

most artists take forever sometimes they dont even get to release debut albums and just albums in general but all 4 did it (though obviously they have existing hollywood connections already and they're literally known and huge to get any producer, writer and a-list artist they like but still, even normani have the resources, a-list producers, writers and artists backing her up and still took literally 5 years to release her debut album)

 

but i'm expecting a lot for their sophomore albums since they were able to pull off great albums with very limited time for their debut. there's no excuses for that. they should deliver pop bibles next

But seriously, the news of Weeekly disbanding and Ahn Sungil producing "5053" are each both simultaneously shocking and not surprising.  And to have both stories drop at the same time is kinda overwhelming.

why is that JYP boy group still promoting on music shows, it's been SIX weeks
