The fact that Strategy isn't really fueled by fans bulk buying or streams and it's entirely rising based on the gp discovering it through Demon hunters, already makes this success super organic. And I'm so glad it is for this deserving BANGER

yeah I'm completely done with IVE, at least the last release had one decent bside but these six new songs were the most faceless generic music I heard in a long time, it's a shame cause I was this close to stanning after their album

Well…Tail and YCSWU are still bops, but her underperformance kinda started with Tail which barely went top 20 after a string of successful #1s and top 10s. So maybe she took that as an opportunity to pivot to other sounds.

 

Same thing happened to Chungha but Chungha never stopped serving bops even though she is still bombing with them, but Sunmi is a different case because she's always been a composer and musician at her core before a bop-maker so maybe this is just her way of saying I'm happy doing this now that I'm not having the same commercial success anymore. 
 

I do miss popstar Sunmi, but these songs are awesome and better than anything Chungha, Bibi or Yves ever did in their careers, so she can keep going.
