People are really trying to discredit TWICE and act like their success with KDH isn't truly earned. But the reality is, TWICE joined the KDH project without knowing how it would perform. First of all, it was an original media franchise, and not every soundtrack album is guaranteed to become a massive hit. In fact, the film initially used TWICE as the main selling point to promote itself, and nobody expected it to blow up the way it did. So of course TWICE deserve to benefit from the project. If the movie had flopped, people would've dragged TWICE for failing to carry the OST.

Now, if another group were to hop on the sequel's OST, then it would be fair to discuss whether they're benefiting from Netflix's success, since by that point the franchise is already established and huge.

In short, TWICE helped build and promote KDH, and the numbers they are pulling right now from the project is still their achievement and part of their career resume.

"TWICE joined KDH not knowing how it would perform" please :rip:

the movie had $100M budget and was backed by Sony and Netflix - what more assurance did TWICE need to hop on this and expect success? :lmao:

they've never experienced spotify and chart success like this ever in their entire 10 year career. they are doing numbers cause strategy comes after golden on the album and takedown is the #1 song on the album :toofunny2:

and despite their leeching, their songs are still the worst performing songs daily on that huge soundtrack. proving that takedown twice ver and strategy are only carried by this soundtrack's massive success skskfkskfs :rip: :toofunny2:

the entire kpop demon hunters' soundtrack is full of kpop's biggest producers and writers too:

- TEDDY (BLACKPINK, 2NE1, BIGBANG)

- EJAE (aespa, Red Velvet, Le Sserafim)

- Danny Chung (BLACKPINK, Somi)

- 24 (BLACKPINK, BIGBANG)

- Vince (BLACKPINK, Somi)

- Kush (BIGBANG, 2NE1, Taeyang, G-Dragon)

- IDO (BLACKPINK, Somi, Meovv)

When is BTS next live appearance? I feel like I could seduce V or Jungkook from the front row. One but not both. Yea.

I have witnessed TWICE being disregarded for far too long, this feels very rewarding...

Despite naysayers, they still have many new horizons to conquer :gaygacat4:

i get that you're trying to defend BP but let's be real no one saw kpop demon hunters becoming the massive hit it is

of these two girl groups which girl group do you think would be the most different with their original lineup?

ITZY + Jeon Somi or Lily of NMIXX - both have been said to have originally been a trainee for ITZY but JYP went with Yuna after Jeon Somi decided to go to THEBLACKLABEL and obviously JYP chose to put Lily in NMIXX

or

my favorite Miyeon who was originally part of BLACKPINK when they were originally PINK PUNK back in the 2010's.

The slow rise :rip:

Do The Dance deserved to smash since the release day.

And Bomb is like the best EP from the girl group this year with bops like Little Monster, Do The Dance, Jellyous :worship2:

somi dodged a bullet by not joining itzy their buzz kinda died down and now she's out here doing her own thing with full creative control most idols don't get that kind of freedom

Somi isn't exactly releasing solid music though.

Itzy with Somi wouldn't have been much different imo. Yeah they could have probably have had much more explosive debut than the one they already had because of Somi's popularity from IOI, but i believe they'd hit a wall after a while because they run out of ideas and lost interest from the gp. With Lily maybe the vocal moments would pack more punch and would sound infinitely better than when Lia does it. That's it.

Miyeon with BP would again add that real main vocalist dynamic that's kinda missing in the actual group. Rose is a stylized vocalist, not an actual technical one like Miyeon.

The naysayers will yap and holler all they want but the fact that they lasted this long with constant quality releases as a complete unit and being booked and busy while having such a healthy relationship between the members for 10 years is already a win for them. Let them bark with their insecure essays and thinkpieces no one asked for lol

I feel like Miyeon would adapt to BP's concept easily. She's basically Jisoo 2.0, so not much would change

Itzy is a more interesting case because Somi was a STAR and had an IT girl potential. Maybe things could've turned out differently with her in

Starting 1700KST...

This is still part of TWICE's achievement, the same way APT is part of Rosè's achievement as well even though Bruno Mars is featured on it.
I get that you're bothered that TWICE will have 2 songs charting longer than any BP song on Hot 100, but that doesn't mean TWICE are bigger than BP, so relax :rip: We all know it's mainly because of the movie, don't worry

Not even 500K views in 24h for Kep1er's Bubble Gum MV, even though they had a good start in sales and charts… It's honestly sad and discouraging, especially since the MV is really well made. At least no one can accuse them of buying ads :coffee:

How exactly did she "dodge a bullet" when ITZY are way bigger than her? :rip:

And you're seriously claiming Somi has "full creative control" when she's dropped less than 20 songs in a 6-year solo career and has spent more time in the basement than anyone? :rip:She's even hinted multiple times that she's unhappy with not being able to release more music.

I get that she's your fave so you're biased, but this take just comes off as really slow
