It appears MBC/Korean government got scammed by a Chinese AI software company in a scheme to extract at least $2 million.  I'm kinda being serious. 

 

That this program was recorded in December, and it's being burned off just before MBC plays the national anthem and signs off for the week while there is no VOD replay or clips being made available all supports that they just want this to go away without incurring any more contractual losses/embarrassment.

One thing is true though, both Somi and Itzy have been gravely mismanaged and they both could be way bigger acts with better creative direction and timing. Like Itzy needs to get their **** together with a clear identity and musical growth. And Somi needs something more dynamic and unique than the same old teddy scraps or samples, and needs to get out of the dungeon.

I always thought that Somi should have gone to America to try to get a cute Netflix film or maybe like a Disney Plus role after IOI ended
