A significant portion of people in line for pre-sales are resellers trying to take advantage of artists with big fanbases. That's not to downplay KATSEYE's popularity, just to note that they're big enough to have scalpers now, too.

It's such a great song. But Western fans seem to prefer the traditional Aespa style in songs like Illusion and Savage where one member sing-talks while the other belts. It's going to happen on "Dark Arts" and I feel like international fans will prefer it to "Dirty Work."

The original "Drama" was a mess and I'm glad the girls fought it, even though it's my favorite title track. It wouldn't have been the same.

The chorus was too screamy. Like it was too loud for no reason.

Girls sounds dated and the kwangya, rekall, meta universe, flat, lyrics are not it the worst part though is the mini was ASS, like a literal 0/0 if not for Illusion.  At least whenever RV fumbled the bag with terrible title tracks the b-sides slayed.

Weird take seeing as they charted #4 with their EP and had great physical sales. 

 

Not many people are gonna spend $20+ dollars for an EP with 5 songs. So if anything, it actually shows the power they hold at the minute. BFFR.

I wonder how much of this Katseye success is organic like I am sorry but I just don't see a song like Gabriela out of nowhere smashing spotify just because it is sung by "Katseye" lol.

You do know how much exposure Gnarly's virality has given them right?? Also they had a lot of attention from the beginning since the documentary, and then people were already talking about how the debut EP didn't do their talents justice. Most were already waiting for at least decent music to jump in and Gabriela is already better than any other single they've put out so far. So i'm not surprised AT ALL at their steady rise in streams with every subsequent release. If anything, they deserve way more success and i'm sure that will come if there is way better music.
