it's obviously a horrible strategy for the members to release a week apart from each other, blinks are overwhelmed

 

maybe rosé should've released in the first half of 24, then jennie in the 2nd half and then lisa in the first quarter of 2025. jisoo's mini somewhere in between since's busy with drama filmings anyway

i will hope this will grow on me but this is horrible so far. song with tyla is the first thing i like but i notice cause of tyla voice. is it safe to say lisa was carried by vocalists jisoo and rose

Jisoo and Rosé carried the vocals while Lisa and sometimes Jennie carried the dance and overall stage presence. That's why the group work best together

elastigirl kinda eats.

 

but damn this girl can veer into corniness territory so easily. FUTW or whatever sounds like iggy azalea 

Sorry but a lot of the good songs are ruined by her corny lyrics and raps 

The tyla song is good but mostly cause I love tylas voice 

none of the non singles are as good as the singles 

Dream is a highlight and is pretty good 

it feels... undercooked unfinished

yeah some of y'all were being too harsh idk what y'all were expecting? I think it sounds like what i thought a Lisa album would sound  anyways I love the 2000s influence in some of the tracks… Elastigirl gives me Gwen Stefani and M.I.A, Chill is giving Nelly Furtado X Timbland (this NEEDS to be a single it can definitely be a hit). The tyla feature is cute but i think she has stronger songs she should push like chill, lifestyle or whatever goes viral

it gets better with every listen lalisa the main pop girl that you are

this album truly does get better and better. sorry to those who lack taste. 

Badgrrl is the gem of the album - neglected by many at first but surely will age gracefully

Yeah this album is def a grower.

It's kinda weird because they're trying to maintain their Kpop image while also transition to a global stage with English music. 
 

I think Rose has seen the most organic success because she didn't push the BP "hard" "badass" aesthetic and went for something more natural. 
 

With a lot of Jennie and Lisa stuff, it's giving K-pop release in English so it's not sticking with western audiences still despite being in English. And K-pop albums are rarely cohesive and without a ton of filler.

Girl no one in the western world not already into K-pop is going to watch FUTW and think "wow this is a slay"  

 

They are still very much giving K-pop (same with Mantra hence why it was a moderate hit in Korea but not in the West). 
 

There's a reason why Lisa has had every high profile performance she could have and is still not getting a hit. She is just the embodiment of K-pop. it's not a bad thing per say but she definitely is not going to smash in the west with this image and output

it's really NOT giving kpop release in english what are you talking about
