Oversaturation of the BLACKPINK solo songs is the problem. Just too much for fans to keep up with.

I still enjoy this album a lot, the biggest reason im sad its kinda underperforming is that i fear the budget for the second album wont be as big  
i know that it surely sold a lot of physical copies but its kinda hard to track that, gotta wait for the IFPI numbers next year

Forget the scraps that Spotify pays for streams. They definitely still make enough from sales of albums, merch, sponsors and ads to keep their budgets. Got that Playstation #ad in FUTW

This year will be busy for the girls with the comeback + world tour but i need the follow up solo albums in 2026 already  L2 lead single  in spring/summer 2026

Idk how anyone would expect anything different. Jennie will be similar. They have not drawn in any new fans outside of Kpop fans with these spam releases that are heavily centered around their Kpop image. 

 

Rap itself is a hard enough genre to breakout into as a woman, it is just maximally unlikely that a non-American is going to especially when they are known for Kpop which is known to be inauthentic and manufactured. 

 

They should have just mainly went with a New Woman sound since there's minimal rap and actually has a decent melody. Like who was this album marketed to?

I see two vers of the album on Spotify (one with the two bonuses and one without) and the partial streams from yesterday are identical. So it was not split

This is the 4th time I see albums doing amazing on Apple yet not on Spotify this month, all by different artists, very weird pattern. I'm not sure what's up with that but yeah it's odd

Not really a fan of the album apart from the singles and Dream... The rest feels like filler or demo tracks.  

Also, I think she released too many singles before dropping the album—it kind of takes away the excitement.  
I don't mean to be harsh, Lisa is my favorite K-pop artist, and I still love Rockstar and New Woman, but that's just how I feel :(
