Hephaestus Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I've seen perfume/fragrance discussions pop up from time to time here on ATRL, but there's never been a base for them (at least that I could find) so I made one! Feel free to share what's on your daily rotation, what's on your wishlist or releases that you're anticipating 2
Hephaestus Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 Recently tried Million Gold in two separate instances and I was honestly shook at how good it smelled on one occasion, while being completely boring and low key not pleasant the other one. I wonder if it was a case of a bad batch or I was simply surprised by it the first time.
mercurialworld Posted September 24 Posted September 24 okaayyyy good thread idea! im ordering a few samples from scentsplit soon—anyone try any of these before? 1
Arthoe Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Anybody got a good dupe for Eau de Gaga? Ever since it got shelved by Meth Labs & Coty, I've been scouring on eBay for the last remaining bottles of it, but I've accepted that I will run out of it eventually. It's everything I ever want in a scent. Bright citrus without smelling like toilet cleaner, super floral without the florals making the insides of your nose scratch/itch and the super subtle base of leather that you only really smell if you get really close (like if you'd be making out with somebody). No other scent I have found ever compared. I tried out Tom Ford's Azure Lime but lowkey... Gaga did better things with the lime top note than Tom Ford, Tom Ford does have the toilet cleaner scent.
theoghon Posted September 24 Posted September 24 no because imma need a good rec for a 10$ perfume, male or female, wearable all-year-round
jezebelvictoria Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is my signature scent.
ChooseyLover Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Love this thread. I've been searching online for a fragrance that smells like a rainy day, that petrichor scent, because I think it goes well with my mysterious/shy vibe. I haven't dared to order any of them because the reviews are always extremely mixed... Found a Brazilian one called Ekos that everybody loves but it's so hard to buy from Europe. Does anyone have a similar taste in fragrances? 1

Thanks! Never tried any of these unfortunately, but from a quick look they seem very interesting I'm also considering to buy some Maison Crivelli samples, I smelled Hibiscus Mahájad and Oud Maracujá and they were amazing! 13 minutes ago, Arthoe said: Anybody got a good dupe for Eau de Gaga? I might be misremembering but think I've seen Roberto Cavalli Uomo compared to it sometimes. 1

helpthomas Posted September 24 Posted September 24 ahhh yes! i've been a fan and collector of fragrances for 8 years and specifically niche and indie fragrances for 5 years. it's one of my favourite things ever and i get so inspired by scents, it's very close to me and to my work in music i'm wearing Arabie by Serge Lutens today! one of my all time faves 2
Jack! Posted September 24 Posted September 24 My regular go-to scents that are branded but not break the bank expensive would be Eros by Versace and Le Male or Le Beau by Jean-Paul Gaultier. I often find myself turning to Zara for budget scents. Two in particular I purchased recently were called Lush Vetiver and Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes. Lovely scents but require topping up during the day a lot more than anything else. Recently at duty free when coming home from the states I bought two bottles of Acqua Di Parma since they were doing a deal. I got the Colonia C.L.U.B. and the Mirto Di Panarea from the Blu Mediterraneo collection. They're both so nice but considering the price I cannot justify using them for daily wear.
Raver Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Fall/winter is basically here so I am using my Viktor & Rolf colognes
Mitsouko Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I'm autistically obsessed with perfume, but only old **** My holy trinity: which is the reference chypre. A melange of earthy ripe fruit flesh, mild powdery spices, and my treasured wet green velvety moss breathing into the overcast Paris evening. Wistful and nostalgic, melancholy. I wear the eau de parfum 360 days in the year, my signature, the scent everyone knows me by which is Mitsouko but in neon and wearing a leather jacket ravaged with cigarette burns. All the mellow emotions replaced with attitude and aggression. Bitter vase water, ashtray, rose, moss. Mitsouko is the lady and Bandit is the tramp which is a different genre from the other two, a shockingly anachronistic leather floral. The scent of imperial courts, soldiers on horseback, luxurious leather gloves and boots tanned with rich floral oils. A perfume for fur and jewels and snow and palaces and sweaty sex in the stables. I wear it sometimes in the winter when I want to be Anna Karenina 1
PYT Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I used to love using the Viktor Rolf Flowerbomb perfume and Chloe's signature perfume! I like to try new ones and now my perfume is the Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay

glitch Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) Does anyone have any fairly unisex, gender neutral fragrance recommendations? I quite liked the Calvin Klein Everyone for that reason but I'm struggling to find something similar. I just want something that smells nice that doesn't give some overly masculine musk or really perfumey Edited September 24 by glitch
atemyheartinc Posted September 24 Posted September 24 (edited) My three fragrances on rotation right now are Philosykos by Diptyque, Wood Sage and Sea Salt by Jo Malone, Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma Looking forward to buy Le Labo's Another 13 and Fleur de Peau by Diptyque Edited September 24 by atemyheartinc

LoveInStereo Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Recently picked up Orebella, Salted Muse. Totally obsessed. The best celebrity fragrance I've ever smelled in my entire life
formlessminutiae Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I am newly into perfumes but here are my favssss on Fragrantica! I also tried this the other day and stunk all day. If you love room-blasting rose this is for you!
Goaty Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Is there a good website for ordering a variety of samples? I have a few staples I rotate through but I'd like to branch out and experiment.
Goaty Posted September 24 Posted September 24 https://us.clivechristian.com/products/no1-masculine this is my absolute favorite so far but I only got the travel size and I don't use it often just because of the price but MAN is it a lovely scent
