Had the very same experience. I almost bought it, but when I decided to buy it, and tried it again it wasn't nice at all.

So I'm not the only one! I literally went to buy it the second time and upon trying it again I was like "umm maybe another time" :skull:

My choice of a perfume. Absolute star.

Girl I'm gagged at how similar our tastes are! This smells amazing to me, way better than the OG (the one with the black label).

I love finding good budget friendly perfumes, because spending money on designer perfumes is out of the question currently, but TikTok is lying to me so bad.   It's always "omg this perfume

No the OG one has a black label and is an EdP iirc. This is the perfume version and I believe there's also an EdT (haven't tried that though).

Yes. I only have it the last few months but there's one with a black label, which is not as strong/good.

It's amazing and I've never gotten more compliments than when wearing this! And lasts so long!

Got myself a few decant/samples from some niche houses and here's my thought:

Commodity (Milk Expressive): Gourmand scent, like a burning marshmallow. The dry down is nice but the opening is quite sharp, cloying. Verdict: 6/10 :coffee2:

Juliette Has A Gun (Not a Perfume): A skin-scent type, creamy so expect a weak to moderate SPL and projection however the longevity beat my expectation (last 7-8 hours). Verdict 8/10 :whistle2:

Maison Margiela (When the Rain Stops): Quite a disappointment because I expect hint of petrichor (smell of rain) but this one more to soapy/laundry scent. In fact, this one almost 90% similar to ELDO "Exit the King". It's redundant to have both perfumes tho I would suggest that Exit the King is better in SPL and longevity. Verdict: 5/10 :noparty:

Bon Parfumeur (103): This is one of the most beautiful white floral fragrance I've ever smell, it's so refreshing and calming at same time. Definitely gonna grab the full 100mL bottle. I'm not really into floral since it's too feminine but lord this one changes my preference and the best thing about this house is that you can layer it with other perfume lineups (the 100+ series is for floral) while the 600+ series will give hint of woodiness. Verdict 10/10 :jonny5:

Dior Eau Noire. Aromatics and coffee. I'm not so into Dior but some of what they make is good, including this one.

Just got a decant of Xerjoff La Capitale. Wow almost a photorealistic strawberry syrup scent, kinda makes me want to go to Ihop in the best way.  Also performance is amazing as expected - 8/10

Anyone knows a coffee-based fragrance? Heard that Bath & Body Works "Coffee & Whiskey" is good at hella cheap price but sadly it has been discontinued. Interested on Followed by Kerosene but many say it's an abomination, claiming it's the world's most potent fragrance and sometimes smells like curry instead coffee :deadbanana4:

Honestly I avoid any celebrity fragrances, most of them have very poor quality, mediocre blending :deadbanana4:

I checked Fragrantica, some people said the coffee are not prominent, too herbal and not worth the price, I think I will check Akro "Awake"

Demeter fragrance (or The library of fragrance if you're in Europe) have several realistic rain-themed perfumes

I bought Thunderstorm to try and I personally HATED IT but they seem to have quite a large stan base, they're also extremely cheap so blind buying isn't as dramatic

tried so much **** today (and bought too many decants), here's a summary of some things that caught my attention:

borntostandout - be my cookie: floral chlorine (?) cookie

borntostandout - dirty heaven: white florals, saffron, ambery

borntostandout - drunk maple: maple syrup with rum and coffee notes

borntostandout - happy nuts: sweet and woody, sesame, rum, pistachios tobacco-y

borntostandout - nanatopia: spiced banana bread and rum

etat libre d'orange - frustration: rum, cumin, chestnut, vanilla, cinnamon. i need a full bottle badly

jorum studio - ASKR: ash, salt, sichuan pepper, driftwood, it's intriguing lol

jorum studio - carduus: a dark patchouli, aromatic honey. it's almost like dark chocolate, im obsessed

maison crivelli - oud stallion: dirty oud with some saffron and cardamom

zoologist - bee: vanilla beeswax with some ginger and orange, interesting if u like honey!

zoologist - civet: musky, resinous animalic with spices i looove it

zoologist - cow: milky and apple with grass and purple florals it's so pretty. very peaceful

zoologist - dodo (jackfruit edition): jackfruit, tumeric, lavender, tonka bean, sandalwood, fruity and intence but i love it

zoologist - rabbit: carrot cake with green leaves and almond biscuits scattered around

Tried the new launch Afnan 9PM Rebel and thanks god it's only a decant, the pineapple scent is overkill and people need to stop copying Creed Aventus DNA. I hate pineapple scent, it's just too mainstream, overrated

Got gifted Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum for Christmas and I'm so happy to finally have it in my collection! Although I have to say performance is very disappointing so far, but maybe it's because the perfume is new and needs some time to settle.

I hear people complaining about TF fragrances' perfomance all the time, and I experienced the same thing the few times I tested them. I'm really not getting the hype, it's a designer brand that has niche-level prices for no reason; even the scents themselves are farily generic and dupeable.

I received Afnan's Supremacy In Oud as an early Christmas gift and honestly I'm in love. Spicy, musky, leathery - there's some sweetness in the mid notes and while I'd probably like it even more if those weren't there, I do think they make it more wearable and they're contrasting the smokiness quite nicely. The oud note is lovely, not too overbearing but it's earthy quality comes across the whole way through. Despite some sweetness, this is a very masculine scent imo; sexy in a 'mysterious guy in a suit alone at the bar' kind of way.

The performance is insane. I was just putting away the shirt I wore when I first tried it a week ago and it still smells like it.

I got Grand Soir with a Christmas gift card, I was afraid it would be too feminine and I don't wear feminine scents, but it's definitely a unisex scent and it smells amazing. Not too vanilla but enough of a vanilla base but with spice. Definitely a night out scent

I actually got better performance when I tested it at the store, I guess I'll see if that was just a fluke or it'll get better with time. I too have heard complaints about TF fragrances though, unfortunately :katie:

Love it, so glad you're enjoying it as well. I try to use it sparingly because it feels like such a "special occasion" scent to me!

Yep I use this during nights actually! I enjoy to layer it too with other MFK scents

I'm glad that I bought the decant first, I like fresh fragrance however this one has very prominent, strong mint note to the point I smell straight up like a toothpaste lol :noparty:

I've always had a huge perfume collection but then realized I'm running out of a lot of them so I just expanded majorly lol, I bought:

Paris-Venise by Chanel

Khamrah Qahwa by Lataffa

Leen by Lattafa

Eau de Soir by Sisley

Twilly Eau Ginger by Hermes

Mod Vanilla by Ariana Grande

Crystal Noir by Versace

Energetically New York by ZARA (Kind of a dupe for Santal 33 but smells so much better imo)

I'll be buying Orpheon by Diptyque and Queen of Silk by Creed next! Very excited.
