.... with the stand alone singles she's released for the last 6 years? Pretending this album exists.. hypothetically and things

a reminder of the singles:

Money - #13

Please Me - #3

Press - #16

WAP - #1

Up - #1

Hot **** - #13

Enough (Miami) - #9

it would become the female rap album with the most top 10 hits (Someone fact check me on this) and she would already have a Platinum certification queued up on release day. Or would it be viewed as fraudulent and unrealistic given the fact that most of singles are old?

On the flipside, you could argue that those are all stand alone singles that feel like CARDI singles and not some feature she jumped on and then tacked onto her own album to boost its performance. Should she do a double album with new material and the old singles? Should they go on a Greatest hits album?

Thoughts?

she needs to put WAP, Enough and Up on the album idc. that will basically make the album 2X platinum a couple weeks after the release

Money, Please Me and Press were made for an IOP so that would make 0 sense and the other songs bombed

plus she said there's probably gonna be no more singles until the albums release so it'll be weird to just have enough

put them all on the album

it doesn't really matter in the streaming era might as well rack up on the albums overall stream numbers

then move on to the next era, take a long break or retire. this album will be dead on arrival its been too long

Well it looks like Calvin Harris is sticking One Kiss and his other hits that are years old on his new album so why not just stick them on… even as bonus tracks

Put them on CB2 as a disc 2 / b-sides / bonus / "hidden" tracks

I'll never understand the claims that Atlantic shelved the album cos she's been "flopping".

Every single leading up to this album has landed somewhere in the top 20 except for Like What (Freestyle), which was just a prelude to Enough (Miami).

The issue is clearly on Cardi's end. She has anxiety about the performance of the album, which is understandable.

It might be easier said than done but she needs to just rip the bandaid off and let the album do whatever it does.

Yea Doja is the first female rapper to have two top 10s for an album (I know it's for solo songs but idk if it's only for solo though) so Cardi would have more with 3

i want a 24 track blockbuster rap album with the hits, new pop collabs, intros and guest interludes the whole thing.

Leave us alone. She never had anything to offer.

If Cardi is smart, she's gonna put all the hits on her new album.

The older ones should stay droplets.

WAP, Up, and Enough can stay on CB2. Something tells me Bongos might make it on the album.

She would also have another album with 2 number-1 singles (just like IOP - Bodak Yellow, ILI; WAP, Up) and IIRC she has the most #1 singles (2) from a single album (female rap).

I kind of think she needs to scrap everything and start fresh in Q1 2025. Lead single with pre-order, pop crossover secondary single a month later, album release soon after that

Up could be tacked at the end, it's a sneak she can get away with and it's useful. It has good stats. Enough could be tacked too but it wasn't that big anyway, it won't make a huge difference. WAP is way too old and too emblematic of 2020 to be brought back into a 2025 release. She needs it for the certifications and the units but it will look pretty desperate. The other droplets are either too old or flopped so they should stay off.

Why the bongos erasure?

When was this released i totally missed this.

Tbh she could just stick them on as deluxe tracks. Nicki did the same with Fefe so it wouldn't be unfair.

putting a 5-year old song in an album would be a bit of a ki in my opinion

WAP is literally 5 years old by the time that album comes out. That ship sailed and Bardigang needs to accept it. She can put Enough (Miami) on it since that was at least somewhat recent. Adding anything before that would be beyond desperate and fraudulent.

I don't think her career is sustainable in the long-term.

Producers can master whatever comes out of her mouth in a studio, but she'll never be able to hold her own when it comes to rapping live. She always sounds like she's out of breath, like someone with diabetes after they walk up a hill.

Additionally, sometimes it sounds like her bars don't rhyme, or like she's not hitting them on the beat…which like…I can understand if someone can't dance on a beat, but how can you not rap on-beat? And how do you make lyrics that clearly rhyme sound like they don't.

I love her personality though, and her style. I just question if the talent is there to sustain a career. She's like Iggy Azalea without the blaccent and racism.

i really don't care how old it is and i doubt anyone else does

it's not like she's sticking girls like you on her album. they're her records, they were never put on an album, so they should be on this one!
