Two albums by legendary artists where they diverted from their usual formula and took some risks. Both were less successful than their other albums and had rollouts that fans felt were less than perfect. What do you think:

Most underrated?

Better album?

Worst rollout?

Also share your favorite songs from these two wonderful albums, let's give them a lil love

Glory for all because it has Change Your Mind, Liar, Do You Wanna Come Over?, Mood Ring... who the **** thought Do You Wanna Come Over? is not a lead single material... :ace:

I only use TYRANT and RIIVERDANCE from Cowboy Carter.

The way Cowboy Carter is better than Britney's entire discography :jonny5:

CC for all

even accounting for personal taste its clearly the superior album with a worse rollout

The fact I prefer Glory just... tells me how much I didn't enjoy Cowboy Carter :mazen:

Cowboy Carter is better all round, even tho I enjoy Glory more

Also the Glory era was a colossal disaster, Beyonce is lazy but she had a massive hit, a great debut week and sent her message of the album across pretty well, the era accomplished something

Glory is a fun album and it's good, but it's great quality is that it was an incline in quality after the disaster that was the BJ album.

I also think CC will be remembered by the barriers it broke. As I said it accomplished something even tho it underperforms

My vote goes for Cc

trying to emulate selena's revival is considered a risk now? :suburban:

Like her or not you cannot say these vocals are not a risk

CC isn't good yet somehow it's better than Britney's entire discography

Glory was a decent album. Cowboy Carter was far from decent, it was absurdly foul.

CC didn't resignate with me personally, it seemed a little inauthetic. Glory is a much better pop album but I'm not sure if CC is considered pop tbh lol. Although some songs are very strong on CC.

Glory has great songs. But it was a wasted opportunity. Both had bad roll-outs.

CC for all three. It is a bit too long and cinematic, but it has higher highs. It's just in desperate need of attention for it to come to life. A simple backyard session would vastly change the way it's perceived. Glory on the other hand was simple. A very solid, easy to listen to pop record that felt like a redeemer after BJ. The roll out could have been better, but at least we got performances and videos. CC's full potential is lost on that mark.

Can you do COWBOY CARTER vs Metamorphosis by Hilary Duff next? :clown:

Glory is the better album/era even though it was very shortlived

I think it was really mismanaged. Imagine if she had opened with No Seas Cortes and followed with Better/DYWCO/Just Love Me etc. Make Me was good but the raper was just not it nor was the mess surrounding the video and rollout. Slumber Party was just forgettable and too much of a Drake ripoff.

I actually love Cowboy Carter, but the lack of visuals was a huge mistake because it's an album that needed them to sell the world she built with it. She has the money for them so I just don't get it.
