I would have to say Roar because Lady Gaga's latest behavior makes it really difficult for me to listen to her music.

Gaga’s Ashes to Ashes serve will ALWAYS clear Katy’s Kidz Bop’d attempt 

"Roar" is blatantly the much bigger hit, it was really one of those huge songs. I remember I was literally in Myanmar and a tuktuk-esque little cart trumbled by in some random BLASTING "Roar" from speakers and it made me realise how billions of people had heard this song and how it simply was utterly global.

 

THAT being said, I always found it a little annoying and far prefer "Applongevity."

Roar has always sounded too kidz bop for me  Applause by default.

personally I have to go with Applause, as I always have. it's just better mostly because of the fact that Gaga's personality is ALL over it, while Roar I think could be done by another artist and be just as great as it is 

I liked Roar when it came out but Ive gotten tired off it over the years. PRISM has way better songs on it. Applause still bops like the first day

Applause has always been a much better song, tbh.

EXACTLY! just as good as Roar tbh

Roar is and always was a terrible song.

Applause is the gem on ARTPOP and very, very good.

Applause is a banger

The rest of ARTPOP (except gawjus songs like Venus and Fashion!) stays overrated among stans but Applause deserves its flowers. It’s fun, campy and silly. It’s catchier than Born This Way and is the right level of in your face. I played Roar a lot too as a silly gay teenager but it’s only really good for a karaoke throwback. 

one is mind numbingly generic & sounds like a britney jean reject. whilst the other is painfully in over itself. but I will say their is a campiness to gaga flapping her **** around in a spirit halloween costume claiming she's pregnant with art or something pretentious like that. roar is nothing.
