Haven't got time to deep dive into this but it's such a stunning and gorgeous record. I don't know of a better word to describe it. Truly competing with Carrie & Lowell as Sufjan's best album

What and album. What a story. 

i finally got a chance to listen to the album from start to finish and all I have to say is just “WOOOW” - it’s such a beautiful piece of art. Everything from his song writing, to productions, to musicality, to his emotional delivery are impeccably stunning. There’s such a warm and tenderness to his breathy vocal delivery.

Finally got to listen to the album. Truly incredible. We are so blessed to have an artist like him still releasing music 

This album floored me - so lush, beautiful and emotional. I’m gonna have this on repeat just to feel everything.

I got high w my bf yesterday to listen to this and my bf ended up collapsing after the 3rd song so I had to carry his ass to bed

 

i listened to the rest on the train today and I LOVE IT. I don’t revisit The Ascension much but I can definitely see myself revisiting this. It’s a true return to form imo

This is in his top 3 alongside Carrie and Lowell, and The Age of Adz, both of which I revisited today. What a king! 

The RoughTrade bonus tracks are giving the Carrie & Lowell follow-up I needed so bad
