I think depending on the role it can be as energy draining as musicians. Long days of filming, makeup. Getting into the mindset of intense characters. Sometimes the role requires additional preparation - research, classes, physicality, etc beyond just memorizing scripts. Though I'm sure famous/well known actors/musicians have the resources to take more than enough time off.

When cultural relevance and quality music hits.

Spotify all time streams SZA - The Weekend (668 listens) - 4.10 SZA - Love Galore (540 listens) - 3.74 Ariana Grande - NASA (482 listens) - 3.45 SZA - Hit Different (452 listens) - 3.39 SZA - Broken Clocks (438 listens) - 3.81 SZA - Diamond Boy (428 listens) - 3.66 Ariana Grande - 7 rings (426 listens) - 2.49 Summer Walker - Heart of a Woman (387 listens) - 3.35 SZA - Garden (Say it Like Dat) (371 listens) - 3.96 SZA - Drive (351 listens) - 3.60 Average - 3.55

I think a lot of artists are struggling in the trending soundscape atm (country, indie, folk, AC). I don't think Doja would ever think about making anything similar to Choosin Texas/Ordinary/idk Benson/Sombr whatever. She is immensely talented and I think she'll find another moment for herself. Lowkey would be into a gaming adjacent album/8 bit music would match her current tik toks

She's coming in with a strong narrative, image and brand! I don't see why she wouldn't be able to continue the momentum.

Rosé being 6 years older than Olivia but somehow still sounds a bit more juvenile? Maybe BLACKPINK stunted their musical growth but after the commercial success of APT. I wonder why she still is in this particular lane.

Excited to listen, Chilombo has been one of my comfort albums.
