Do You Love Thunderstorms?

Featured Replies

Or precipitation in general?

I have a porch with covering, unlike most of my neighbors, so I have nature all to myself. There's nothing more lovely than a heavy rain, with some music in the background, and the sound, the sight - so relaxing.

I love storms so much. If I had a porch with a covering or a lanai, I would never be inside during them

Yesss. Reading during a thunderstorm with my lamp on to create some ambience >>>>

I adore them, especially when you see one approaching and ominous clouds unraveling right in front of you.

Took this photo from my backyard a few weeks ago when we had an absolutely massive storm in Croatia, unfortunately ended with a few casualties in a few cities due to record breaking winds & damage. I have never seen the sky that green.

I like rainy weather in gen so yea.

Except when it knocks my power out. :skull:

Yes. I love a good storm. I’ve got a nice screened in porch so I can actually enjoy it.

Ever since someone pointed out to me that stormy weather sucks for people living on the streets it totally ruined my enjoyment of them :toofunny2:

Yes. I get genuinely so happy when there's a thunderstorm, or even if it's just really cloudy.

Only if I'm home tho, dragging an umbrella is the worst

a storm during the early morning hours or late at night is just perfect :jonny:

cause hot or snowy weather is more enjoyable to them ? :deadbanana4:

OT: more or less, if they aren’t too long nor too frequent and preferably at night during summer i love them, if it’s stormy for a week it gets annoying

I looooove rain and love thunderstorms especially at night. Have the best sleep during thunderstorms

You said it! I wish there were more storms early. A couple of years ago, there was one at 11am, and the skies were purple! 7 hours later, it made for the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen, and since then, I keep waiting. Weather.com (and any other source) is usually wrong. I even would take a snapshot, and 99% of the time it's supposed to storm, it doesn't. Or maybe just a few drops. Even though it can be so special when the timing is just right.

Only if I’m home, it’s relaxing. If I’m outside then that completely sucks and if I’m at work I’m indifferent.

I do. The last one we had was roughly a little over a week ago and it was just lovely. They've been few and far in between lately. I, especially, love them in the late evening and night hours.

Yes I always found them very fascinating, I was scared of just about everything as a child but not thunderstorms/lighting

Yes, love the vibes of being curled up under a blanket while the rain pitter patters and the thunder booms outside

There have been some scary thunderstorms in my area recently though with lightning that hit nearby buildings and that wasn’t fun.

yes! i love gray skies and the sound of rain

i find it relaxing
