Oh, I thought that was part of an official announcement considering the "single" thread. But I agree it's a pretty obvious easter egg.

I am really hyped to hear the sound of this song. I mean it seems pretty obvious that the lead single from her sophomore album would have a similar feeling to SOUR, and I love it. I hope the 2nd single serves range though.

why the long ass wait again :deadbanana2:

i think it would've benefitted her (and vampire) if she dropped it this week or the following one.

It would not benefits GUTS at all to release now.  Then you have a month before the album with nothing.  Two weeks before builds hype for the album with not much time between.  That’s what she released G4U a week before sour

She can always release promo tracks. Everyone does it.

really hoping the title is a false flag and this isn’t yet ANOTHER single about being pissed off at a guy for moving on :rip:

You ruin album hype by releasing too many before the album.  Look at HTE

It's only 1 more... it won't hurt anybody. Two singles and a promo single is perfect.

2-3 singles prior to an album drop isn’t bad, but they all have to be bangers. Flop 2nd/3rd singles or flop promo singles would not be good and should just wait till album release.

Edit: Billie was successful in doing so with WWAFAWDWG, Olivia did it with her last album, Drake did it with Scorpion, Ariana with TYN, Lil Nas X with Montero, etc…

and feed the haters with the flop allegations?? there's barbie, travis, drake and by the time they have all peaked she has this single out. it's GREAT timing. She did the same with Good 4 U. Too many promo singles she might run the risk of alienating her base like Billie did with HTE, only for them to turn over and change their mind once they heard the full project and chose the title track as the best single choice. her team is 100% right in letting people take their fav songs to the top and not oversaturate with songs (especially when vampire is doing well on radio and streaming)

SOUR had 3 singles prior to release, why are y'all in here acting like 2 more singles would be too much :deadbanana4: Especially when vampire isn't doing nearly as good as the likes of drivers license etc

OT: Seated cause if this is the song from the snippet it indeed sounds very riot grrrl, hoping this is the smash although the long wait isn't exactly giving me hope

Because SOUR had a rollout from January (Drivers License) to May (Good 4 U). That's a five month period that gives time for songs to grow and breath. She has half the time now... we're almost a month until the album is out. Vampire can hold three more weeks. The current rollout is givin more Deja-Vu (April) -> Good 4 U (mid-May) and then SOUR (late-May)

I was just thinking "I need a new song from Olivia" and then I clicked "Music" and saw this. :duca:
