And you throw your head back laughing
Like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny, 'cause
He never did
I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does
Is break and burn, and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe
I watched it begin again

She would, but anything that helped inspired that hymn I guess

One of my favorite songs of all time. So beautifully written. And her tone/emotion throughout the song >>>>

One of my favorites, a true discography highlight and I will not hear anything else on the matter :jamming:

:sosad:

And we walked down the block, to my car
And I almost brought him up
But you start to talk about the movies
That your family watches every single Christmas

And I want to talk about that
And for the first time
What's past is past

:sosad:

Oh this song is excellence. I regret not giving it an 11 during the discography rate :gaycat6:

My favorite song from her and that's saying a lot, seeing as she has a legendary discography.

This is one of those songs where the re-recording is even better, and it’s surprising because the original was already so good. It’s up there with Last Kiss, Dear John, I Almost Do, etc among her best slow sad country songs.

One of her best sings, the storytelling in the lyrics, loveeeee it!

This will always be my fave Taylor song after Call It What You Want

This and Invisible String keep the hopeless romantic in me alive...

Spoiler

except Invisible String is actually kind of depressing now lmao
