  • And yet Attention and I am not a woman, I’m a god are easily their best material.   Two days of a song not demolishing the charts are really enough for some of you to start putting down girl

I feel like girls like her and Halsey try too hard to earn respect and it just doesn't work like that for pop girls like them

US debuts   #2 I Like You - 2m streams (Post Malone album drop day) #10 You Right - 1.57m streams (Doja album drop day) #8 Kiss Me More - 1.43m streams #3 Attention - 1.15m st

I like it and normally I would Gobble something like this up but something about it (including the mv) scream attempt at being taken seriously with a veneer of idk.

still good overall

Baby, if you like it, just reach out and pet it
This one doesn't bite, it doesn't get aggressive
Show you how to touch it, hold it like it's precious
It don't need your lovin', it just needs attention
(Love me) It needs, it seeks affection
(So sweet) Hungry, it fiends attention
(Hungry) It needs, it seeks affection
(Baby) Hungry, it fiends

The chorus is living rent free in my mind right now. It's so hypnotic.

look at me

look at me

you lookin?

look at me

look at me

i’m naked

is what lives rent free in my mind atm, it’s so her, so troll

The chorus is really bad.

But the verses are pretty good, I wish she would've gone with a full rap song or at least, a chorus with more punch.

Same:jonnycat: im actually enjoying this one more than her previous leads

I can see the "Look at x3 - I'm naked" part going viral on thirst trap TikTok

She’s on live now and she said Attention is not even meant to be replayed but it’s just a message, “a nice thing to start off the rollout with”. She also played a new song called “Gun”, said the album was finished today and it’s not as rap as it could be, there’s a lot of singing hooks on it, she did ad libs for the songs, and it’s cohesive and fun.

ddd so a doja cat album

This is a good track even if I don't have the urge to listen to it.

I do agree verses > chorus

I don't understand people saying this lacks replay value cause I've had it on repeat for hours and I wouldn't get tired of it :deadbanana2:

Love the music vid

Reminds me of Madonnas drowned world vid. Super 90s inspired.

i was about to say, it sounds like sth from erotica. love the trip/hop late 90s/early 00s vibe. the video gave me almost matrix vibes, truly a comeback for me, i don't usually listen to doja, this really grabbed my.. attention :gaycat2:

WE WON.

And “Attention” hit me this weekend, while playing it in the car on a long drive.   :katie2:

It’s actually not as “meh” as I originally thought.  But def still agree it’s not a single single.  Glad she confirmed that.

You could just tell based on how they threw it out (besides TTH placement).

do we think this will go top 20 on the hot 100?

Top 30 more likely.

Not feeling this song. Hopefully the next one will have replay value.

I don’t dislike this as much as I thought I was going to, in fact I quite like it, but also I don’t know if this was the greatest choice for a lead single. Curious to see how the rest of the album sounds
