of course can still be a very succesful musical but musicals are really local (usa, uk, japan and some other asian country) while joker is gonna be a global smash.

Joker reached 1 billion at the box office. Neither of the deadpool movies reached 800 million
Gaga jumped on an already huge franchise with a big star
Wicked is the only thing surprising here.

I mean, Oz The Great and Powerful was atrocious and yet it still grossed $500m (in 2013). 

 

Plus, Wicked is literally the second biggest musical of all time behind Lion King & 3rd longest running musical ever.

This  Joker has been highly anticipated with or without Gaga, the first movie was a smash, Wicked is still a niche thing. It may be the biggest musical ever but it's still not for everybody like the others.

Joker is one of the most iconic characters in popular culture who has been listed among the greatest comic book villains and fictional characters ever created.

 

I love the Deadpool movies but let’s not act like he is on the same level as Joker when it comes to popularity or that this movie will be a success because of Gaga.

Why is it always the ones who know the least that are the loudest?  There are a lot of people anticipating the Wicked movie. It's been the most anticipated movie musical for many years now.

Nah, if it's not making a billion dollars it's not more antecipated than the Joker or any other superhero movie on the list 

The OGHs already working hard and of course Liddos are gonna fall for it.
