MDNA tour's visuals still unmatched. Why?

Featured Replies

It's been over 11 years since the MDNA Tour and yet its spectacular visuals and elaborate stage production have yet to be topped. Why?

And for an interesting behind the scenes watch:

No other Pop star has since matched this level of grand eye spectacle and sheer production elaborateness. Why?

A leading Belgian company, the behind-the-scenes video in the OP shares it all. I think they did some stuff for her SB performance too.

No one has used them to the effect Madonna had on a creative level, though. It's so cool that she used them to create a 3D dimension effect and actually incorporated them into the choreography of the show.

Madonna is undeniably the Queen of touring. It's sad to see the pasty mediocre palatable chanteuse dethroning her.

My fave is the thunder effect in the opening number lol

It's so expertly done :jonnycat:

(timed in this vid)

Because like Kanye West said, Madonna is the greatest visual artist of all time. :clap3:

No wonder she deserves her touring grosses

Madge really puts on a show

NOT only as a performer, but with production

cant believe some big ass sellers, barely have any interesting production

Yes, but that Like a Virgin/Human Nature act is too boring.

Some of her worst singles for a reason.

To be honest the entire opening number is JAW-DROPPING!! I felt like she tried to recreate the epicness of it all with Iconic on the Rebel Heart Tour, but it kinda fell flat....

Her production is pretty cool and grand too tho lol

great visuals but this show was boring cause the music, well is what is it (her worst album).

Confessions stays as her best tour. Visuals alone are not enough, it's not the MOMA but a live concert, that gave me a lot of energy.

Ngl I love it (the candy shop segment is pretty draining however)

The corset moment is iconic ... its giving experimental theater

Should have been the DVD cover:flame:

my first Madonna tour. Amazing. She can sell out a show in any corner of the world for a reason

so much tea spilled in this thread... MDNA the album might've been a dud, but the tour served expensive!!! my 2nd favourite tour from her, the stage and production are next level even for her standards :clap3:

I'm going to see her for the first time in December, really hoping she serves elaborate visuals and stage design for Celebration too

I thought Formation and maybe Chromatica tours would topped it but they didn’t.
The visuals, the stage, and the controversy of the tour is what makes it superior!

Candy shop kind of carries this act, sis.

I’m not a huge fan of the setlist but visually it was a stunning show. :clap3:
