Serving they shipped it but it got shipped back

EEAAO is more interesting, accessible and has a better plot despite being a biT overrated. Still, it deserved the win

Front runner for Actress and Director 

Tar was good but EEAOO was just bigger and better. Its only chance was Best Actress and while I believed that Cate delivered one of the best performances this year, Michelle was a very close almost tie second and in the end she had a stronger narrative than Cate (who made a mess of her campaign with the Andrea debacle).

Cate said NO to award ceremonies during her CC speech, so they are just following what she said. 

Because It's a boring movie made just for Oscars. It didn't appeal to masses while having an artistic vision, Oscars had given those types of films awards so many times, it has lost touch with the general public. This is the first step in the right direction if Oscars wants to continue to be seen as THE award for filmmaking.

Talent keeps losing, unfortunately. EEAAO fans and crew were so obnoxious that the Academy had no choice but to let it sweep. The fake outrage that we would have to witness if it lost would have been too much to handle, I'm afraid.

Because the Oscars are tasteless 

EEAAO is great but had a few pacing issues.

Tár on the other hand is class and Blanchett gave a masterclass. Triangle of Sadness also deserved.

it was a rehash of the better film “whiplash” and cate usual unhinged acting can only get her so far.
