If it means ages for relationships, past your mid-20s is way more about your personalities and what you both want in life, the pace for it. Unless it’s a sugar daddy type of situationship, you’re way past most worrisome power imbalance situations that don’t envolve class background or racial issues, etc

It’s a bit of an age gap, but once you’re past your mid 20s you kind of have a more solid idea of who you are and what you want, so age gaps become less important. I’m personally of the “18 is legal and we shouldn’t dictate what legal adults do with their bodies because it’s giving Republican,”

but I know a lot of ATRLers think a 30 year old dating a 22 year old with no observable power dynamic is “grooming,” so who knows. 

I'd say yes; my parents were 13 years apart, so, I do believe it's possible.

After your mid 20s you should be fine dating older. Just don't expect them to do all the things you want to do.

Some people/users love to infantilize themselves thinking somewhere in your 20s you still can be “groomed”.

 

I think there has been a trend since last year online with the topic of age gaps and has been proven that some people are just unaware of how old you are really in their 20s and you are a full grown ass adult capable of full rational decisions.

 

Don’t even get me started with the at 25 your brain is not fully developed ****
